6 ‘Where are you parked?’ Lilac asked, recovering her refined accent and poise, whilst looking out the kitchen window as Nakka rummaged in a drawer for something. ‘It’s still foggy, is this wise…?’ Lilac was anxious and it went to her gabbling mouth, but not enough to slip back into cockney, although she was aware that in less than an hour she had stepped well and truly outside her comfort zone, and as a consequence, viewed Nakka in a different light.
