Ella has had a hard time adjusting to being away from home during our 10-day stay at the beach house. After the first two days of being here, she ended up staying inside the bedroom, only leaving to use the bathroom and to eat.
She’s depressed and there is nothing I can do about it unless—With my phone in hand, I search for nearby attractions, desperate to find something that will help improve her mood. We’ve been stuck inside for so long, just like in that mansion, but at least we have the freedom to leave without him tracking us down.
