13 ROMAN Hearing rustling sounds in my room, I opened my eyes to find Joe clearing off my tray. Brynn had done it again, taking off without saying anything to me. And I couldn’t ask Joe anything about her, or he was going to get super suspicious of me. “Morning,” I said with a crackly voice as I used the button to move the top of my bed to a sitting position. “There he is,” Joe said with a smile. “Your delicious breakfast is on the way.
