I got myself prepared. I looked at Anakin who was sweating. I scoffed. We climbed to the stage and got in our positions. I saw Mia smiling and cheering up.
"ACTION!"
I sat in the couch with my spreaded leg. Anakin laid beside with a blanket. We pretended to watch a movie. We grabbed some covers and acted it out as a snack.
"Owh!"
"That was creepy Charlotte!"
I laughed and nodded yes. I paused and realized that our munchies got over.
"OOPS!"
"Make it a pause"
"I'll go and gram some more!" I said.
He smiled brightly. I stood up from the couch. I moved to the cupboard on the stage. There was a bowl. I raised up my toe and grabbed it slowly. Something felt different in me. I felt a presence. A nerve ran through my neck, popping in and out. I felt someone pressing on my bones which already weak. I fell down dropping the bowl, broken.
I heard whispers around me or in my mind. My head ached. My visions were fluctuating. I started to sweat out. I was drenched in water almost. The bones knuckled in my leg.
A ball in my stomach made me raise upwards. I looked at my hands. The veins turned red and was bulging. There was someone in me. It groaned and moaned in a demonic tone. My teeth clinched and my jaws moved. A run through from top to the bottom. My breath was loosening up. I glitched around the stage making everyone scared.
"CHARLOTTE! DROP THE ACT!"
My fingers stretched out and my body was out of my control.
"Something's wrong with me"
My elbows turned inwards and I felt a weight on my shoulders. My back bent down and was twisting back and forth. I heard my bones cracking and knuckling.
"OKAY! THATS ENOUGH!" The mic sounded.
I tried to stop. But, I couldn't. Anakin ran towards me and held me up. The voice grew bigger. My body spasmed continuously.
"What's wrong with you?!"
"Your eyes are turning white Charlotte!"
"Charleyy!!!" I heard Mia screaming. She came running to the stage.
I BLACKED OUT.
***
I woke up in my bedroom to the sound of a man and my mom talking indistinctly. I squinted my eyes and lifted my hands. I realized that there were needles injected in my hand that connected up to a bottle hanging in some sort of thing. It was a cannula.
"Moom" I murmured in a low voice.
My mom looked at me and frowned.
"Oh goodness!"
"You're awake!"
I smiled and nodded. I saw a man dressed up with a white coat. I couldn't see anything clearly though.
She came near my bed and patted my head and kissed me on my forehead.
"Why do you have stress out your body, honey?"
"You know that you've symptoms of rhabdomyolysis"
"Right?"
I sighed. I was unable to show my potential just because of these stupid deviations in my body.
Nah, it was something different. I felt some kinda presence in me. That was really strange. It was not in my control.
But, the theories of the doctor and my mom made me think that I was too weak for those movements. I looked at the clock next to my bed. It was 2:15 pm.
"Take a good rest Charlotte!"
"Will see you tomorrow" The doctor smiled and waved off my mom.
My mom sighed and sat beside me.
"Charley"
"Why don't you take a good care of yourself?"
"You aren't a child anymore...Being a teen you need to care yourself well...especially you"
I raised to slouch on the headboard slat.
"Mom..If I'm just being diseased everytime, when will I live my life.."
"Huh?"
She ruffled my hair.
"Oh dear!"
"You know your conditions..."
She paused and rolled her tongue.
"Let's hope..."
She gave some pills and a glass of water which was on the lamp table and left the room.
"Why am I getting weaker?" I muttered.
I downed the pill with water and laid on my bed. I looked at the glucose bottle. It still had 3/4th to inject in. I felt drowsy and I went to sleep.
***
"Charleyy!!!"
"RUN! RUN FASTER!!"
I heard Mia screaming after me. We were in a playground. The sky gleamed golden yellow. We were running towards the exit gate. My breath was fluctuating and skipping. I was dripping sweat.
A n***d, tall and pale body was running after us. It was so tall like that of a lamp post. It was so lean and the bones of that body was visible and it was nudging along with the run.
The clattering of its bones made a sound. The eyes of the monster was popping in and out. The skin was stuck to its bones. It was horrible to see it n***d. The steps it took measured an average of 20 metres, I'd say roughly.
I couldn't catch up the pace. I stood on my knee palpitating. Mia carried me on my arms and we went to hide.
She pointed out a large cylindrical pipe in the park. We went there and hided in hoping that the creature wouldn't chase us here. The pipe was built in cement, wasn't sure if it was a pipe. It had to holes or like an out way at each of its end. Mia tried calm down my breath. She tapped slowly on my back and she rubbed it which made me comfortable to calm down.
"I'm here Charley"
"It's okay"
I tried to calm down my palpitation. I heard the clattering bones nearer.
***
"Charleyyyy!"
"You okay?"
I startled up from my bed breathing out heavily and deeply.
"Jeez!"
"What's wrong with you?"
"Why are you sweating like a hell?!" Mia asked all startled and wiping off my sweat with a towel.
I realised that it was just a bad dream and nothing to worry about it.
I nodded.
"Just a dream, Mia..."
She sighed still wiping me off.
"Jeez!"
"Why do wanna get into it?"
I sighed and pulled her hands away from me slowly. I looked at the clock- 7pm. I slept long.
There was a nurse standing next to my bed. She smiled politely.
"Can I take off the inject?"
I glanced at the empty glucose bottle. I smiled and nodded yes. She held my right hand and slowly took off the inject. Of course it bleeded a little bit. She took a bandage and a cotton from her kit and stuck it on the bleeding part. I smiled and thanked her.
"Take care well"
She took the bottle and the stand and left my room. Mia was looking at my bandage.
"Why'd you stress out too much?"
I frowned.
"What?"
She let a deep sigh.
"Anakin told me that you practiced the "strange" thing hard"
I paid no interest.
"Let's talk about something else"
