Chapter 10In the morning, Mingxia waited patiently on the ground floor of their building for the group to arrive. Cameron got Ezra and Nicky up bright and early, and Rachel arrived soon after. Anjea took a little more time, since her schedule was highly dependent on Koa. Mingxia showed no signs of yesterday’s heartache, and she certainly didn’t bring it up again. She was back to her quiet self. She only broke from stoicism to wave at Koa and smile in her direction. The tour of town was fairly mundane. They were showed houses, most of which doubled as “shops,” where villagers could obtain necessities like food, clothing, homemade toiletries, and more. No money was ever exchanged.
