Brian supposed he actually had far too good an imagination, because as soon as he drove Angel into the city, said goodbye and dropped him and his suitcase off at The Velvet Lounge, Brian’s imagination went into overdrive. He thought of Angel dancing on that little podium, or giving lap dances to strangers. Brian wasn’t jealous, exactly. In fact, he wasn’t sure what was up with him. He just couldn’t get Angel out of his mind. And, he realized, as he sat alone in a diner downtown, he did kind of want to see Angel dancing again. He had told Brian to come see him. Brian checked his watch. It’d barely been two hours since he’d dropped Angel off. Would it be really dorky of him to show up now? Well, he couldn’t just hang out in the city all night. He should go home, catch up on his case files
