Janus’s upbringing was not a typical childhood. His companions were exclusively adults – he had no idea of how to interact with kids of his age. His own physical age, that is. Every kid in the world had a birthday, even if they didn’t have a party. Every kid except Janus, that is – it would have been ridiculous for him to celebrate his birthday every day. Having a daily birthday might sound like a dream come true to normal kids, but Janus was far from normal.
