I waited for an hour before going downstairs to drink some water.
Almost immediately, I heard the butler welcome one of the princess's maids.
She entered and walked straight to the kitchen.
She easily found me because of the tracking crystal I was always made to wear.
"The princess orders you to appear before her," she said arrogantly and grabbed my arms, pulling me along.
I pulled away angrily and flung her hand away.
"How dare you! You're just a dog's blood slave!" She shouted, slapping me.
I was furious. I wanted to descend on her. But after I remembered what my father had to say about me when my brother confronted him earlier, I scoffed angrily and swallowed the injustice.
I walked towards the princess's quarters, noticing the look of disdain I kept receiving.
Even the slaves were raising their noses arrogantly at me.
Of course, I had become the lowest entity that could exist.
Demoted from a blood guard, a warrior, to a blood slave.
And not just any blood slave, slave to a dog!
I bit my lips angrily and entered the princess's chambers where she was sitting lazily.
I knelt before her, awaiting her orders.
"The Beta's son of the golden river pack had disrespected me during the last fair. He's going on a hunt tonight. Bring me his head. You know the consequences of failure!" She shouted before entering her bedchamber, with a cruel smirk on her face.
She knows I have been weakened, she's only trying to kill me.
The young man he's sending me to is a ferocious warrior.
If I make up my mind to kill him, I will be able to do it by making some sacrifices, due to the technique I practice.
It gives an insane burst of power. Its only disadvantage is that whoever practices it will have an incredibly short lifespan.
Worse, she had slashed off twenty years from my life yesterday.
Despite my father knowing the effects, he still forced me to do it.
That's why, despite being seventeen, I could kill powerful wolves as an assassin, although I have not even shifted.
That was the reason my father left me alive till now, to become a sword that kills for the pack.
If I had doubted his intentions in the past, now I understand.
I heard him loud and clear last night, making me realize what I was to him and the pack.
An emotionless sword!

I walked away and entered the blood guard chamber in the palace, arming and equipping myself.
I picked up my mask and tied it on, wearing my cloak to conceal my face, figure and weapons.
A blood guard must always remain anonymous to protect their master's identity, otherwise, they die.
I walked to the stable and took a horse, riding away into the sunset, setting my horse on a gallop as the guards opened the pack gates for me.
"You have twenty-four hours", I heard the princess tell me through the bond crystal on my wrists.
This was what I was meant to do.
I was born to kill, forever a jinx.
But if Jennifer thinks I will kill an innocent man for her after how she treated me, then she's joking.
He didn't wrong her, he only scolded her for being an entitled brat after how she behaved at the fair.
I chuckled as I galloped along, I had my purpose of leaving the pack.
Once I finally do it, only the goddess knows where I will point this sword.

ONE DAY LATER
I rode back to the pack feeling fulfilled.
I had found the herbs I needed to nullify the blood guard's curse.
I even managed to dispose of the bond crystal and the tracking crystal.
I would like to see Jennifer use the blood guard's curse on me again.
But my preparation is not yet complete, so I need to lie low for now.
My birthday was last night. I finally shifted into a powerful wolf.
My efforts finally paid off.
It was nearly sunset when I rode into the pack. I was ready to receive the punishment for failing the mission.
I slowly rode to the Alpha's palace, feeling smug despite the impending punishment before me.
I stabled the horse and turned to enter the palace through the back entrance when it hit me.
That sweet smell.
Mate! My wolf shouted.
I rushed in, collided with a mass of muscles and looked up.
Alpha Cain? The Alpha's son?
His eyes widened.
"What?" He growled, shaking me off in disgust.
At once, immense disappointment filled my heart.
He was as cruel as the rest, maybe worse.
His handsome face can barely mask his cold and ruthless heart.
"I Alpha Cain Johnson, reject you, Madison Blake, as my mate" he growled.
At once, I felt immense pain tearing in me, but I quickly bit my lips.
Pain was no stranger to me.
"I Madison Blake, accept your rejection", I quickly said, with a look of defiance.
I saw him clutch his heart, he felt the pain too.
"You better not let anyone find out about this. Disgusting!" He said and rushed away.
I chuckled and went into Jennifer's quarters.
I quickly knelt before her, waiting for the storm.
"Where's his head?" She roared at me.
"I'm sorry Your Highness, he and his men were too strong. I barely escaped alive" I muttered.
"Lies! Why didn't you burn your bloodline? Wait! Where are the crystals on your wrists?" She roared furiously.
"I lost them during the fight, your highness. Please forgive me" I whispered, pasting mock fear on my face as she angrily descended on me.
She began to hit and punch me, furiously scratching my face at intervals.
I lay there quietly, trying my best to shield my face and head.
Well, my mate has already rejected me.
It's not as if there's anyone I'm trying to look good for.
I only need to focus on staying alive and protecting my brother.
The only person that matters now.
She stood up gasping and heaving.
"Take her to the dungeons!" She shouted, rubbing her sore knuckles.
She had hurt herself by hitting me so hard, making me want to giggle.
All of a sudden, we heard commotions.
Soldiers were hurriedly rushing to the walls and I could hear the gates closing.
The sounds of hooves were thundering outside as the men hurriedly tried to organize a line of defense.
The maids holding me threw me off in fright, giving me the chance to run to the tower.
My heart skipped a beat.
Soldiers were stretching as far as the eyes could see.
They were bearing a banner 'HEAVEN'S SWORD'.
In a matter of minutes, their soldiers launched their equipment.
Balls of fire began to rain inside the packed house.
I could see the villages in the distance on fire. Soon, battering rams began to hammer on the walls.
It's just been ten minutes and they have already caused this massive destruction.
