"AWWWW!" The iron was burning him through his clothing. "I told you, you needed to get rid of her," Dominicus shouted up at Alpha Hersh and Elder Brian.
The disdain I had for this; warlock was unfathomable. Dominicus, like I, was royalty but of the worst kind. Since he was a part of the Witch Queen's court through birthright, it was vital that we had evidence of his betrayal before the Witch Queen could hand down an appropriate punishment. I had sparred with him many times, and he always managed to attempt to cheat before I would crush him. He knew that he would not be able to beat me. Alpha Hersh should have heeded his warning. I was still only a teenager, but I could handle myself in the Witches Court just fine. Dominicus here was in his early twenties and still was far from matching my abilities or level of maturity.
"AWWWWWW!" "Boy, you told me you were stronger than everyone within the Witches Court except the Queen herself!" Alpha Hersh shouted at him.
"Well, he lied," I said as I willed the protective shield over my armor, sheathed my swords, and went over to assess Ellina. She was okay; for now, the i***t had used a Petrifaction Curse, I determined as I examined the point of the curse's contact over the Luna Queen's heart. The curse was one in which would cause her body to harden and turn into stone slowly. The person would seem to be unconscious but knew and felt everything that was happening to them slowly. The pain would be excruciating, but you left, unable even to scream. I guess he has chosen his fate. I placed my hand over her heart as I extracted the curse from her body. As it did, I shaped it into a sphere. Once the process was complete, Ellina began to stir slowly. She would need to rest. The trauma of the curse took a significant toll on the body and mind.
"My Queen, please do not try to move. I am going to put you in a painless sleep and have you taken back to the coven for further treatment," I mind-linked her.
"Esmeralda, have you secured the castle?"
"Yes, Princess."
"I need you to leave Brody in charge and take the Luna Queen for treatment back at the coven. Dominicus has used the Petrifaction Curse in her," I told her.
Not even a second later she Esmeralda appeared and disappeared with the Luna Queen.
"Brother, I have sent Ellina with Esmeralda for treatment. That d**k put a Petrifaction Curse on her!"
He let out a growl that shook the ground beneath our feet. I stood and walked over to where he had taken his stance before the Alpha, Elder, and Dominicus with curse sphere floating slightly over my right hand. The fighting had ceased in these moments. I guess the Alpha had lost confidence since I restrained what he believes to be an asset to his cause. The royal pack gathered behind our King, and I joining us as what was left of the Alpha's forces attempted to flee. They had nowhere to go. The main gate and all the walls surrounding the castle were burning with intensity.
"Dominicus Lord of the Opal Witch Coven, I Princess Hypatia daughter of Hera and Zion, Beta to the Witch Queen, Sapphire, hereby sentence you to death for your crimes against the Alpha King and Luna Queen as well as your transgressions within the Witch Realm," I venomously proclaimed.
Dominicus's eyes widened with fear as he began to thrash about aggressively.
"You can't do this to me! My coven will hear of this," he screamed at us!
"The Witch Queen has given me her orders, Dominicus," as I said this, I produced a syringe out of thin air and extracted blood from him. "She only asked that I take your blood to identify your coconspirators across the realms," I said impassively. He had made his choice. Once filled, I mind-linked Queen Sapphire, "My Queen, here is your blood sample," I said as I magically transported the syringe to her.
I then allowed the cursed sphere to float over to Dominicus and enter his chest, and he instantly stilled. He would leave this world by the curse he chose to use against the Luna Queen.
While the royal pack and coven demonstrated reserve, the remaining rouges were in a panic in response to my actions. I guess they had not seen the limits to which any witch could push their powers if motivated. I was elated to see the fear in the Alpha and Elders' eyes. They had brought our wrath upon themselves.
"You little MONSTER! I will rid the world of you," shouted the disgraced Alpha, evidently upset that I had rendered what, I think, he thought would be his ultimate weapon against the Alpha King. He was evil, no doubt but obviously naive enough to believe that Dominicus would lead him to victory.
I just grinned in response to his words. I guess it takes one to know one.
"Kill them all! No one sees the light of day," the ominously coming from the Alpha King through the mind-link. In an instant, werewolves, witches, warlocks started to pick off rouges.
The Alpha King shifted back. Since Ellina was not here, I conjured up some shorts for my brother. Tonight was already bad enough; I did not need to be scared for life.
"You have lost this fight, disgraced Alpha. You have committed atrocities against your Luna, pack, and the citizens of all realms. You even dared to insult my Queen and sister. But you have taken your deranged tantrum too far and attempted to Kill MY Queen! For this reason and this reason alone, I will rip your throat from your body," he shouted at them as he shifted back to his wolf form!
The Alpha and Elder shifted into their wolf forms. I was about to bring my swords out before me when I felt the need to shift myself. As I shifted, I made sure to strip my body of my armor and swords. Pixie and I stood before them, our red eyes piercing through them.
My brother and the Alpha lunged at each other as the Elder came at me. "Princess gives me control," Pixie told me. This experience was strange. I could see and feel everything through Pixie's.
She moved gracefully even in battle as she fought the Elder. He was powerful but nowhere near at our strength as we took him down, our paw upon his throat as we ripped it from his wolf's body. I had never killed anyone in this manner, and it left me with a mixture of emotions. These wolves were my brethren; we came from the same Goddess, but their treacherous actions made them a threat to the longevity of all the realms.
"Uuhhh," Pixie and I felt a sudden pain rip across our right side. It wasn't us that was injured. The Protection spell alerted us to the danger before the Alpha King. My eyes were fixing on the disgraced Alpha that stood before my King. He held a dagger of some kind in his hands, but that was the thought from my mind. What was fearfully evident was the black silky substance poring from its edge, dripping from and pooling beneath it. Black Magic, not just any kind it was the poison of Lady Anora of the Witches Court.
So her brother's betrayal was potentially not motivated on his own. His painfully slow-moving choice of curse may have been misguided by more than incompetence. He would also know I would be just petty enough to use it as his course of punishment. He knew we were investigating him based on intentional and calculated mistakes, leading me to this conclusion. But only after I carried out the Witch Queens command. He knew she would order his death on the spot. He had made her angry one too many times to warrant any ounce of mercy from her. UUUHHH! I hate him so much!
"Pixie, well, take care of him; after all this, he can suffer for a little while," I told her. My memories must have filled her in on how he continuously lingered on the cusp of my patients. I was a nerd and easily annoyed by mediocre individuals who, just because they felt entitled to their arrogance, had no real reason to be. They were not unique in any way. Well, in Dominicus's case, maybe his mother thought he was; I didn't know. It did not matter at the moment.
Anura had, well, was obsessed with my brother, and him finding and accepting his mate among the warrior-ranked witches and his out proper rejection of her "Anura" had must have made her lose her demanded mind! She knew that the Alpha was in the midst of moving against my brother and his Queen. She must have had her fillers out to be notified as soon as the Alpha put in any request for aid. I am going to kill that b***h! You know what, I'll just let Ellina do what she wants to her. She is the Luna Queen; after all, it's her life this b***h was determined to mess with, so be it.
The Alpha King lay there inwreathing pain. His wound would have to be remedied by one Elder Witches, who clearly understood our magical abilities and how to reverse effects. "ESMERALDA! Come from the Alpha King." "My Queen Anura is behind this treachery," I mind-linked her. "We have her, Princess, do not worry. Take care of the Alpha; your brother is here with us. Know we will see that he and his Queen are mended, she told me. I had not even realized that Esmeralda had taken my brother.
Our eyes fixated on Alpha Hersh, his eyes wide and face contorted in anger. I guess he thought it would be easy to kill the Alpha King and his Queen! I could feel my form beginning to change again. I was no longer just in my wolf form but that of a Lycan. I stood on my hind legs; my face was that of a wolf, and my body remained covered in fur. Being a Lycan did not seem to impact my height at all either. I was doomed to be petit no matter what form my body took, whatever.
My anger at that moment knew no bounds. I was going to kill this Alpha for all the pain and suffering he inflicted on those entrusted to him through the Moon Goddess, the Werewolf Realm, and the atrocities he has committed against the Alpha King and Luna Queen.
All I could see was red as my magical energy charged the air around us, causing my elemental powers to produce lightning to light up the night sky. In the distance, I could see the lightning of the sky as morning approached.
Alpha Hersh's eyes were on me wide, not with surprise but fear. It had been centuries since a Lycan had graced this world let alone one of Hybrid origin.
"You, Sir, have brought misery upon so many lives. You will not be remembered fondly by anyone. I, the one you deemed an abomination by your standards, will be sending you to the Moon Goddess for her to pass further judgment on your transgressions across the supernatural realms," Pixie and I told the Alpha as our voices mixed into a sinister sound.
We allowed our magic to produce a silver sword as we moved into position before the disgraced Alpha. I knew he was seething in anger. Alphas were never graceful in defeat.
Power radiated from my form, bringing the royal werewolves and witches to attention as they took their places behind me.
I could see flashing in the eyes of the Alpha as he let out a growl that tore through the night.
His wolf was taking over, forcing him to shift.
He had recognized my level of power and knew that he had to accept their fate.
His wolf stood before me, towering over my form. He bowed before me, lowering his head and baring his neck to me.
"Your respect is noted, wolf. I will pray that the Moon Goddess will bless you with a better human in your next life," as Pixie and I brought our sword up and, in one swift motion, cut his head from his body.
