VANESSA
As I stepped out of the vehicle, my hands tightly clutched my dress. I was so scared and nervous.
Will Elder Simon punish me for almost killing his daughter, or will he tell Alpha Stan, if he does, Alpha Stan will make claims that will eventually send me to my grave.
“Welcome my dear.” Hearing Elder Simon's voice, I paused on my track. He shared a brief hug with his daughter, before turning his attention to me.
“G–Good day Elder Simon.” I bowed.
“Welcome Vanessa, shall we speak in my study?”
Okay, his voice is quite calm, maybe he's just pretending. This must be the calm before the storm. I obediently followed Elder Simon while Gracie dispersed in another direction.
