Step 53. Cruise Control, part one

The three of us, or should I say five of us including my two kids, find a natural routine over the next month. Our living arrangements have become easy and fluid. Eric and I eat lunch together one on one everyday. We have recovered our friendship in every way, with the added benefit of stealing kisses every now and then, including saying goodnight. Matthew has not seemed bothered even once watching me kiss Eric before climbing the stairs to our bedroom.
Although, I have to admit I feel Eric growing a bit… agitated every night we leave him. I can feel the eyes of the fireman burned into my back, desperate to put out a fire still between us. Alas, he needed to heal.
