Ears burning with embarrassment, I utter the phrase, “I'm a virgin."
The look on his face could power an entire city with the amount of shock on it. Was it really that surprising? I mean, I did learn a few things from my boyfriends before, hence Cruz's obvious pleasure a few minutes ago, but I had never gone all the way.
We both sit there on the couch, side by side, Cruz sinking back and leaning heavily into the arm of the couch. His eyes are staring at me keenly. If I didn't know better, I would say that he was trying to discern whether or not I was telling him the truth. Did he believe me? Was he about to question me?
