Chapter 5 Sol Swarn.

654 Words
Sol Swarn. I’m packing away my things that I’d be leaving with to my new home. A knock on the door draws me away from what I’m doing and I open to find Frank standing with a red envelope with a golden seal. Gently breaking the seal and opening the scent of fresh blood hits my nostrils, it’s the invitation cards that Sofia and I picked out together. “Prince Rye would like you to look at the invitations and make sure it’s everything you want.” Frank said. On the inside of the white card is our name and date of our wedding, location and the name of the guest written in a mixture of red and gold ink. I run my finger over the letters, the ink feels like fabric. It has a rough texture to it. I smiled as I looked at every curve and straight line that’s my bloody fingerprint, in order to get it there I had to have just enough blood taken from me and dip my finger in it. When I asked Sofia what’s the blood for and why do I have to put it in the card. She said it’s both a party favor, each vampire male that received a card had to link my finger print and report to the king if they have ever drank from me. “Is it everything you wanted?” Frank asked, Smiling, closing the invite I look up at him and shake my head. Once Frank left I had to report to my mothers room for the talk, I found her sitting behind her desk with father and Kyro was standing at their door entrance. “Have a seat,Sol.” Mother gestured me to the a chair. “As you know, come tomorrow you’ll be a married woman, your husband may want to do things to you that you’ve never done before. If he’s too rough you just tell him. And if he doesn’t take it easy you stick it out.” “Yes mother.” “You are to do everything possible to make him fall in love with you, that way it would be easier for you to get rid of him. You have four months to kill him or else.” Forgetting about every other question I had in mind, I ask the one question I’ve. Been dreading asking. “Would Rain be able to see me in my dress?” “She’ll see you, but you won't see her. The longer you take the worse things get for your sister, remember that.” She walks over to her nightstand and pulls a red believer box from the to draw and hand it to me. I opened it to find a wooden stake. I smile and leave the room feeling unease as Kyro steers at me making the hairs in my neck raise. The moon is shining into my bedroom just like every night. I sit on the little stool and allow my mind to drift back to my first love. Micheal. Micheal and I have been friends for years, he was my first love and the first person I’ve ever slept with. Sadly I haven’t seen him for years, not after that very night. The night I remember so vividly, the loud screams, wet roads and rainfall but most of all the night I… “It’s time for bed Lady Sol, tomorrow is your big day.” Lady Helen says to me with a creepy smile and I get up and get into bed. Steering out at the moon before slowly drifting off to sleep reminding myself that after today I’d no longer have to live in this house with these people. But I’d have to leave my sister behind and hope that they don’t do anything to her, hope that mother and father keep their word and keep her safe until I complete my mission.
