Chapter 26 -Wounded With Your Fire
When the reception ended, I glanced one last time at the woman who will forever have a deep place in my heart. I can’t help but smile to see her now happily being with the man whom I knew will love her forever. I am about to remove my gaze at her when our eyes meet. She automatically smiled beautifully at me then she nodded. Then from afar, her mouth opens and utters the word ‘Thank you’ that made me smile even wider. I raise my hand to let her know that I will be leaving. I watch her say something to her husband before running quickly towards me. She immediately threw her arms at me and gave me a warm embrace.
“Take care, Dave. Thank you for coming today. Don’t let her go, she’s the one.” Natawa ako.
