When We Meet

"Are you sure you're not forgetting anything Avalon". Mrs Lee asks her daughter Avalon probably a lot than she intended to today as she watches her get into the passengers seat waiting for her to finally drive her to the airport. She couldn't help but noticed how much she'd grown over the years, She takes in the features of daughter again hoping to store it well, because she knew quite well that she won't be able to see Ava till the end of the year due to the long distance between their home and the school in Freetown, she takes one look at her from head to toe, her fair skin, her round face, her ocean blue eyes, high cheek bones, her slightly pointed nose her thin lips, her little ears hidden slightly against her black hair which she packed in a pony tail, moving over to her body features, well she couldn't quite see anything as Ava was putting on baggy clothes, that has always been her taste, but with the time they've spent in the house, Mrs Lee do know for a fact that her daughter do have a nice body, only if she herself could see it and be proud of it for once. "For the 900th times today mum, No I didn't forget anything, I made sure of it, now get in the car, let's go, if not I'll miss my flight". Ava tells her mum pulling her away from her thoughts as signal her with her hands to get into the car and starts the engine. "You do know you have to loosen yourself a little right?" Mrs Lee tells Ava who's looking outside the window, staring at the trees, she has always had a thing for admiring nature. "I'm quite loosed mum, there's nothing to be worried about". "You knows that's not not what I mean Ava". Mrs Lee sighs as she tells her daughter. "Look sweetie, you only get to be young once, so do what makes you happy and that too without caring about people's opinions, we can start by getting rid of your baggy outfit, you don't have to keep hiding in those, you're a very pretty young lady, you shouldn't let what some dutch bag said to you years ago grow with you" she advices her daughter. "I'll keep that in mind mum" but the clothes stays" Ava tells her mum while sending her a glare, as if warning her not to bring her clothes into this. "Alright sweetie, I hope you do". Finally, they arrived at the airport and Mrs Lee drives toward the parking lot and parks her car in place. Coming down from the car, Mrs Lee helps Ava with her luggage to the airline where she has to check in, they chatted for a little before it was finally time for Ava to leave, her mum bids her farewell, and gives her a light kiss on her cheeks. "Bye mum, I'll give you a call when I land". Ava says to her mum whi is waving her hands at her as she says "Don't forget to live life a little, you're not getting any younger Ava". Ava rolls her eyes at her mum's words before she replied as she turns to leave "Yes mum, I'll try to". "Ladies and gentlemen, we have begun our descent into Freetown. Please turn off all portable electronic devices and stow them until we have arrived at the gate. In preparation for landing in Freetown, be certain your seat back is straight up and your seat belt is fastened." Ava yawns as she heard the announcement, which happens to wake her from her sleep. At least we're about to land, she thought to herself, it's been five hours, she has been on the plane for five solid hours but she couldn't help it but her butt was hurting and she couldn't wait for the plane to finally land. Quins college "No way guys, this should be the third time in a row you both try to do this" Damon says to his two friends Neo and Bryan. "Don't worry dude, this will be the last time I promise" Neo says as he puts his right hands on his chest and his left hand in the air, as a promise that it is indeed going to be the last time" "Yes Damon, what Neo says". "Now I have to babysit the juniors. Again!, this was meant to be a week of relaxation, before lectures officially begins, but here we are again, searching for a girl we don't even know. I mean I can understand why Neo's probably looking for a chick, but you Bryan I can't quite understand, you don't even stick to one woman yet you're desperately searching for one with Neo, I can't believe an imaginable being got you both whipped" Damon tells them. "Haew!" Bryan says while putting both hands in his chest in a sarcastic manner "I can be faithful to one person, I just haven't found my soulmate yet, and you can't blame me for that now can you?". "Yeah whatever" Bryan tells him as he scoffs. "So who who's getting the volunteers form?" Damon asks the two guys in the room. "Already did..." Neo says while raising three papers up, he was about to hand it over to them when he pulls his hands back along with the papers "And for the record Damon she's real and not a made up character, now fill it so we can hand it over the director". he says as he finally hands the form over to them. "Yeah right, real indeed" Damon replies to Neo's comment sarcastically. "What a great way to begin the semester. Again! don't you think" Bryan says as he looks over at Damon who has a displeased expression written all over his face. "I'm not looking forward to your hunting game Bryan, give up this search for your perfect bride" "Who says I'm the host here, our good friend Neo here is in charge, I have nothing to do with it..." he paused before saying "for now of course, so don't be a party pooper Bryan, focus on your form so we can submit it, think of it as a good deed to your juniors". "Yeah whatever" Bryan says as he picks up his pen from the table. "Alright all done now, let's go and get this over with". Damon says more pissed than he's supposed to, he's been friends with Neo and Damon since his first year at Quins college, they met during their orientation and have been best buds till then, no matter what the situation was, they were always there for each other, you can call them the perfect trio, Neo the nonchalant bookworm, never gives attention that he doesn't seem attention worthy, Damon the funny yet serious one, it's quite easy to get on his nerve and Bryan the loyal playboy, he's very loyal to he's skills of not sticking to one lady, what a waste. But if there's anything these three guys had in common other than the fact that they had left got good brains and high intelligence in "almost" everything, it should be their perfect looks, they were so attractive that they could have any girl they wanted, however they never used it to their advantage of course, well apart from Bryan, there will always be a bad egg in a group and he was the perfect definition of one, but no matter how distracted they get, they still put their focus on getting good grades including Bryan. They were walking through the building when someone threw up on Damon along with the volunteers form he had in his hands. "OMG eww" Damon exclaim. "Can't you look where you're heading to before you decide to dispose off your waste?" he screams as he raises his hands.
