And come it did. There were breaks here and there, but for the most part it was cold. The sun would hit in the side canyons keeping a lot of the snow melted, but not all. For the most part though, there wasn"t a lot of wind. What wind there was came out of the west blowing over the cabin and piling the snow up against the eastern wall, keeping a lot of the grass clean were the horses could get to it easily. There was a lot of drifting in front of the cabin swirling down from the ledges above. The nice thing was the sun warmed the rock walls, which helped keep the snow melted and away from the cabin. There wasn"t so much snow that one couldn"t get around most of the time, but there wasn"t much sense going out in the stuff unless something really needed done. Bad weather would come in a
