Henry pov
“Ok. It’s time” I say to myself. I just finished the decoration in the backyard. Flowers and candles all around. The light under the water in the pool is on. The table is set with all the romantic things I search online for a romantic date. The ring is in my pocket and I hear Chloe
“I’m ready. Wow” I turn around
“What’s all this?” She asks
“Romantic dinner for two”
“That’s why you keep asking how long I will be upstairs”
“Guilty. Come on the food is going to get cold” I say extending my hand for her to hold it. I help her sit down. In the sixth month now her belly is getting bigger and bigger. We sit down and start eating. The music starts to play and we continue to eat with light talking.
“I have a gift for you”
“Again?” She says and I laugh. The truth is that after we found out about the pregnancy I started giving her more and more presents. Some days flowers, some other days jewelry, and of course I give her my card to buy maternity clothes.
“Dance with me first, please”
“You asked so nicely. How can I say no” she says and she slowly stands up.
The song “Marry Me by Train” starts to play

Then I kneel and Chloe stares at me with wide eyes
“Though I have lots of things to say, my words are hiding from me and I cannot express them. A simple thing I want to say is I love you today and always. When I look into your eyes, I can see a reflection of the two of us and the life I hope we’ll share. I know you’re the only one I want to share the rest of my life with. I promise to love you a little bit more every day. Will you be mine?”
The song keeps playing in the background and Chloe starts crying. Her hands on her chest
“I’m already yours Henry” She gives me her hand
“I know but the thing that I want you officially mine. Is it a bad thing?”
“No, it isn’t. Of course, I will marry you” and before she finishes I already put the ring on her finger.
“It’s amazing” I stand up and kiss her
“I'm glad you like it. I had it for a long time and I was a little nervous” I say and we continue dancing
“Why?”
“I thought you would say no,” I say and she laughs
“You are crazy,” she says and she caresses my cheek.
“But I love you”
“I love you too sugar. Me calling you my wife will be amazing”
“Husband?” She says and I chuckled
“I like that” We continue dancing until she starts to be hungry. We sit down and start eating while we talk about the wedding. Then we went to the kitchen for dessert and then to the bedroom.
The next morning Eliza, our helper, had cleaned everything and my coffee was ready in the kitchen. After Chloe started tired easily I hired a woman to help with cooking and cleaning.
“Good morning Eliza”
“Good morning sir.”
“I told you to call us with our names. You are two years older than me”
“Ok. Henry. I have breakfast ready too”
“I don’t have time but don’t tell Chloe that,” I say taking a sip from my coffee. She laughs and she nods
“Let her sleep. She has a late class today”
“No problem. Can I leave early today? Is my son’s birthday”
“Oh yes. I remembered that you told me. Of course. I will be here before Chloe so I will make something” I say smiling
“Thank you” I look at her
“Henry”
“Better. I’m leaving. Happy birthday to your son” I say walking to the door
“Thank you. Have a nice day” I hear her saying and I walk to the car.
“Everything good Henry?” Vince asks and I nod with a smile on my face
“I guess she said yes?” He asks
“Yep.”
“I can see your face all light up. Since she came into your life your whole face has changed. And all about you”
“I feel different than ever before. I remember what you told me when you met your wife, Diana.
‘You will catch yourself being happy and not being thrown by the difficulties that arise from time to time.’”

“I smile every day all day without a reason you know?”
“I know Henry.” He says and I see from the car mirror that he is smiling
“How do you keep that feeling after twenty years?” I ask and he sighs
“Things are not always easy or our life isn’t like a fairytale. It needs work and patience. When something starts to break you need the patience to fix it again. If you mend be together you will find your ways to pass every day. You two will fight and argue but that is not the end. Never a fight is an end.”
“I think you are right. Thank you Vince” We arrived at the office and I went to my office.
I didn’t have the time to sit on my chair George walk-in
“You do it?” He asks and I chuckled
“Yes. She said yes”
“Congrats. Chloe is perfect for you.”
“She is perfect genuinely”
After a few hours of work, George came into my office for lunch and I got a text from Chloe. Is a video from a choreography

“She worked for Aaron. If she wasn’t good he would not give me her number”
“She is great. And Chloe loves her.”
When we eat we return to work. I have to finish early today.
