Chapter 14

Chloe POV

“She will never bother you again,” Henry says cupping my face and kissing me senselessly. He came to dance school and we are now in my office after my class. It's been a month since his mother talked to me and Henry did everything he could to keep her away from me. And he did it.

“Now how was your day?” He asks with so much care in his voice

“So good. And you don’t have to worry I’m very careful. Antony doesn’t leave me alone”

“I know. I ask him to”

“What?”

“But I didn’t need to. He is already watching you”

“I had Antony and now you. Jesus” I say rolling my eyes. He laughs and he hugs me

“I love you”

“I love you too. I’m grateful that I took the risk. You are the best boyfriend ever” I feel him sifted. He looks at me

“You are everything I ever wanted.” He says and I smile.

“Guys, are you ready?” Antony asks knocking on my office door.

“Yes. Let’s go. I’m hungry” I say and I take my stuff. We say this morning to go out for dinner, Antony and Kyle his husband, and me with Henry. I’m happy that Antony and Henry became really good friends. Antony is my best friend to Mad and I didn’t want to choose between them.

We all go in Henry’s car. Me and him in front and the married couple beside.

We arrived at the Red and after we ordered we started talking about the baby. Antony wants to be godfather but I want Mad to be godmother so they will be together on this.

“Your belly starts to show Chloe. The pregnancy looks good on you” Kyle says and I smile. I look at Henry and he is smiling too

“She looks so cute.” Antony continues

“Thanks. As for my belly, I can see it in my jeans. They are so tight now. For now, my leggings and sports pants are good”

“You look amazing sugar,” Henry says and he kisses my head. Antony and Kyle smiling and they look at each other so adorable.

“After you told us about the pregnancy we thought seriously about adopting,” Antony said holding Kyle's hand

“That’s amazing. I can’t imagine better parents than you two” I say and I feel emotional.

“Don’t cry again please” Kyle says and I giggle

“Is so good that you thinking of adoption. You are great people. Any kid will be lucky to have you”

“Thank you, sweetie. We are excited”

“If you need any help with anything I will be glad to help you,” Henry says and I hold his hand

“Thank you,” Antony tells us

“I mean anything. I have people in every spot. You are worth being parents and I don’t want to be deprived for any reason”

“Thank you, Henry. We appreciate this.” Kyle said and we continued our dinner and talking. After dinner, Henry took me home. To our home now.

“Do you want to take a bath with me?” He asks me seduced when I’m in the bedroom starting undressed. He hugs me from behind and whispers it in my ear.

“That will be amazing. We have a lot of time to be together in the bathtub” I say and I turn around. My hands are on his shoulders and he goes his hands on my ass

“I always loved your hips but now is juicier.”

“They will be bigger. And my belly”

“You are gorgeous. I love you in any size” I smile and kiss him

“How about that bath?” I say and he smiles. He gives me one last kiss and he walks to the bathroom.

After a while, I go too.

“It’s almost ready,” he says and he walks closer to me. He lifts me up and automatically my legs go around his waist. He looks at me without saying anything, the words are needless. He loves me so much and it shows in his look. I smile and I kiss him.

“I love you”

“I love you too. Thank you for coming into my life”

“We should thank Amber again. If she wasn’t here to show that video you wouldn’t stalk me” I say and he chuckled

“I will have met you at the bar.”

“Again thanks to Amber. It was her birthday”

“Right. We should thank her and take her a gift again” he says and I giggle

“We should.” He takes me to the bathtub and I go in and then he comes to and sits behind me.

“Come here,” he says and I rest my back on his chest. He caresses my arms and then his palms touch my belly.

“Isn’t so big yet. Just start showing.”

“Yes. Is more round. I’m excited. I never imagined I would be so thrilled because I’m going to be a dad”

“I love that feeling too,” I say and he continues to caress my belly.

Two months later

“I’m leaving now baby.”

“I’m sorry I can’t be there”

“It’s fine. I will show you the pictures later”

“Ok. Call me when you finish”

“OK. Love you”

“Love you too,” Henry says and we end the call. I take my bag and I walk to the front door. I have an appointment today with the doctor. I open the door and I see Mrs. MacLean, Henry’s mother, and in front of her the security guard

“I apologize Miss Harrison. I know she is not allowed inside but she insisted” Thomas said and he looked worried. I take a deep breath and I allow her to walk inside the house. God, I hope not to regret this.

“I don’t have much time. I was ready to go.” I say calmly. Whatever she had done is Henry’s mom, from respect I should be nice.

“I see that. It will not take long. I promise”

She is lookingmy belly and smiles. That's odd “Ok. I’m listening” I was ready to listen to her insults be that she left me with an open mouth

“I’m sorry”

“What?”

“I’m sorry for everything.”

“Is that some kind of game?” I ask

“Is normal to say that. I will tell you only this. I’m tired of following the rules of my world. I lost my children living a life that doesn’t fill me anymore. When I found out that Henry would become a father something in me snapped. I wasn’t present in my kid's life. I don’t know my kids. But the sure is I want to meet my grandchildren.” I look at her shocked

“If you let me of course”

“Mr. MacLean?” She sighs looking down and then at me

“I ask divorce”

“Wow,” I say without thinking it

“I know it’s late but I want to make amends. I want to fix my relationship with my children and be part of my grandchildren's lives.”

“Is never too late if you mean it”

“I do,” she says and her eyes watering. I sigh and look at my watch. I don’t have time and I want to talk with Mrs. MacLean

“You have time?” I ask

“Yes. I’m free for the rest of the day” she says and I smile

“I have an appointment with the doctor for the baby. Did you want to come with me and then go for lunch?” I ask and she smiling so much that her smile reaches her ears

“I would love to. What about Henry?”

“He has a meeting now. Come with me” I say and we walk outside.

“Good morning Vince”

“Miss Harrison, Mrs. MacLean?” He looks at her suprised. On the way to the doctor, she was telling me about her pregnancy with Henry and how he was as a baby. After some age, the nanny raises him and she focuses on her job. And she is sorry for that. At lunch, we also continued talking about our lives and when she told a funny story from the court and I started laughing I heard Henry behind me

“What’s going on?” He asks and I turn around my head

“Oh, baby. What are you doing here?”

“You didn’t call or answer your phone. So I called Vince. I will ask you now what are you doing here with her?” He says and he sits next to me

“You look happy. She didn’t hurt you?”

“No baby. Your mom came from home when I was ready to go to the doctor. She apologizes for everything and she wants a second chance”

“You remembered that now?” Henry asks and Mrs. MacLean's face falls

“Henry she has made so much progress with herself. She just wants to be part of our lives and the baby’s life. Let's give her a chance”

“What about my father?”

“He isn’t happy with my decision but I don’t care anymore. I ask for a divorce. I take a decision and your father will not stop me this time”

“Baby just think about it, “ I say and I caress his cheek

“Ok. I will think about it. You own a big favor to Chloe”

“Thank you so much. I owe to Chloe a lot” she says and she is standing up.

“I will leave now. I don’t want to press my luck” she says and I giggle

“I should talk to Amber and George too. Sooner the better” She says and after a big hug to me, she leaves. But not before she caress my belly

“Are you sure?” He asks

“I am. Don’t worry.” I say and I kiss him. After lunch, he left me home and he went back to the office.
