Chapter 5.
Malia’s POV.
“Hold up a second, Malia. You are pregnant?!” She asked, her eyes widened with shock. I looked away, biting my lips.
“Give me that.” Aunt Jane asked and Anna handed it over to her. Aunt Jane looked at it and gave me a look. “Like Mother, like daughter.” She said, despite filling her voice.
I looked at her, shocked at the way her words were venomous when she spoke about my mom. “Don’t.. Speak about my mom that way.” I murmured and Aunt Jane reached her hands out to my face and hit me with a thunderous slap that sent me down the floor.
I immediately covered my belly and looked at her. “Eyes down, you whore.” Anna said and looked at her, holding back the tears that threatened to spill.
“You really are pregnant, seeing that your first instinct was to touch your belly.” Aunt said and I looked way, wiping the tears that were falling off my eyes.
“You are pregnant?” kylian walked into the house, he asked, interested in what was going on and Anna looked at him.
“Here read the report. She is pregnant.” Anna confirmed and I sighed in humiliation. This was clear proof that I hadn't been good for him. He looked at the report and looked at me, anger and betrayal obvious in his face.
“I told you, Alpha Kylian? She is nothing but bad luck for you. She just proved it.” Anna said and Kylian gave me a look.
“I curse the day I met you. I'm glad that I rejected you. I do not ever want to see you again. You are nothing but a w***e, thank God Anna opened my eyes to see how much of a snake you are.” He said and that cut deep inside of me.
My life was ruined, he didn't only think I am a psychopath but now he called me a w***e. I looked at Anna, and I saw a victory smile play on her face. If only you knew who the actual snakes are..
Kylian walked out angrily and it was left with only me, Aunt Jane and Anna. I sighed tiredly. “Who is the father of the baby?” Anna asked and I looked at her.
Aunt Jane was suddenly quiet, and I wondered what was going on in her mind. I looked at Anna and I ran my hand through my hair. I had to cover it up, before she could suspect anything else. I stood up and looked at her. “I don’t think I am entitled to answering that.” I said and she looked at me. Aunt Jane walked to me and gave me a look.
“You won't answer? Who the hell is the father of this child?” Aunt Jane thundered, making me flinch visibly
“Its quite obvious, mother. She is obviously pregnant by a low class omega wolf. Just like she is. She and a low class man, and they will birth a low class child.” Anna said and I glared at her.
“Do not talk about my child like that!” I yelled angrily, making her shake. She scoffed.
“Did you just yell at me?!” She asked and slapped me hard. “You insolent p********e! I should put you in your place.” She yelled. I held my face and glared at her.
“Eyes down, damn it!” She yelled and I looked away. “I doubt you even know the father of that child. Am I right?” She asked and I looked away.
“I am reporting you to the council by tomorrow. I will make sure to tell the tale of a loose woman, who almost got married just so she could hide her bastard child, and her shamefulness. How disgusting.” Anna said and I looked at her.
This was going to be humiliating. If Anna went about spreading such rumours, I could potentially have my life ruined.
“And wait till my brother gets back, I will report you to him. He will be the one to judge your case.” Anna said and walked away. “Come mom, let’s go.” She said and both of them walked away.
I walked to my bedroom, sunken. Apprehension and fear filled me. What if Jerome found out I was pregnant with his child, he would reject me, and embarrass me.
Aunt and Anna would insult me, and call me names, saying I was using him to climb up the social ladder. I collapsed on the floor behind my door and started to cry. It pained me to death that I was in such a stupid situation. Thunder rumbled and it began to pour with so much fervour.
I cried my heart out into my bed sheet, thankful for the loud rain covering up my loud cries. I have to get out of here. I won't wait and get rejected by Jerome, or have anybody insult me or my parents. I thought to myself.
Hurriedly, I wiped my tears and started to pack my things into a cheap duffel bag. Keepsake of my mother, Family crest, the heirloom of my parents, I packed everything I owned into a duffel bag.
I checked to be sure that everyone was asleep, and I snuck out through the pantry door. s**t. An umbrella. I thought but it was too late.
I looked at the house one more time, and walked into the road. I walked, wondering where next I would go. I just needed to go out of this place, where Neither Anna, Aunt Jane or Jerome could ever find me.
That’s right. The old man. What was the name of the inn he had called? I thought hard and remembered. Jordan Inn.
I walked there and the owner looked at me. “Young lady, why are you so drenched? Please. Sit. Let me get you something warm to drink.” She said gently and handed me a cup of tea. I gratefully and shakily took the mug from her and sipped from it. “Is there someone or something you need?” She asked.
“I believe she is looking for me.” I heard and saw the old man standing and looking at me, his hands behind his back.
I looked at him and breathed a sigh of relief. “I need your help.”
Five Years later…..
“Malia!” I heard and I turned and looked at the shocked faces of my Aunt, Anna and Kylian. “You. I thought you were dead.” Aunt Jane said and I gave her a look.
“Where’s Alpha Jerome?” I calmly asked and she gave me a look.
“Why are you asking about my son?” She asked and I shot her a glare.
“I'm not here to see any of you, so please where is Jerome. Where is he?.” I asked.
“I am here.” I heard the authoritative, yet calming voice I had longed for ever since I left the pack several years ago. I turned back and stared at him. He looked at him, with his eyes narrowed.
“You are alive? He said and I nodded.
“Alive and well.” I said with all boldness and pride.
“Fair enough. What do you want?” He asked and I breathed out slowly.
“I am here cause we need to talk about the disappearance of our children.” I dropped.
