CHAPTER FOURTEEN The rocks were hard and unforgiving during their long fall, but there was no time to worry about that. The panther—Gelick, Nancy had called him—was intent on destruction. His teeth and claws struck Eric again and again. Eric clutched a clawed foot before it could s***h his throat, but that left him open to the panther's bite. Long fangs sank into his arm and clamped down, breaking through muscle and bone. Eric yelled, but didn't let go. Twisting, he slammed the panther's head into a large rock and rolled off to the side. Cradling his injured arm, he rose onto his knees. The panther stumbled around, disoriented from the blow. He shook violently and changed into a man. Then, he locked wrath-filled eyes on Eric.
