ComaConner returned to the Chateau and was met by the Lyla, Roland and Jenny. They were all eager for an update and pleased to hear that my condition was stable. Conner and Lyla had purposely avoided telling Roland, or anyone else about the trap set for the General. They wanted to ensure there were no leaks prior to his arrest. Now it seemed appropriate to release the news.
“Listen, has anyone seen Michael this morning?” asked Conner.
“I saw him heading toward the dining room a while ago,” said Lyla. “Don't know if he's still there.”
“There's something I want to tell everyone, and it would be better if we were all present.”
The group headed downstairs to the dining room and there was Michael working diligently on a tall stack of pancakes.
