The moment she stood up, a bolt jolted through Jason pulling his head out of a dark spot.
“No, wait! I like you!” He shouted, much louder than he intended.
The serving staff outside the room flinched at the sudden revelation and everyone leaned against the closed door to catch the conversation.
Meanwhile, in the room, Connie paused to stare at Jason’s red face. Jason gazed right back, his eyes set with determination and a hint of trepidation. The room once again fell into silence though the roles were reversed.
“I… like you too.”
Jason’s face beamed with joy. Standing up quickly, he walked over towards Connie and stopped in front of her, his hands itching to wrap around her in a tight embrace but his reason reigning him back for fear of ruining the moment.
Connie saw the conflict in his eyes and decided to be the decisive one. Wrapping her arms around him, she pulled him into a hug. As her hands rested around his back, she frowned and rubbed a little. She expected a little pudge due to all the delicious food he ate every day, but instead, all she felt was a lithe body of hardened muscles. A little jealous, she moved her hands around trying to pinch an inch of fat.
A low growl over her head made her pause. “What are you doing?”
Connie obediently placed her hands around his waist and held steady thinking of an excuse. “Nothing, just making sure you’re real.”
“Let me check too.”
Jason wrapped his hands around her, feeling the small of her back moving up her spine slowly moving his hands outwards to rub her shoulders and back in and up her neck and into her soft hair, gently pulling her head back so he could access her soft lips.
Connie shuddered and moaned softly under his caress. Her eyes fluttered as she focused on the beautiful lips inching closer. This was her first real relationship and she knew they were moving fast, but hell, how does one not fall for the temptation of this godlike man?
The moment their lips touched, they both set off exploring this new sensation; the gentle rubbing of soft lips, a lick, a suckle, a sigh, a curious nibble, and a low chuckle met with a sweet giggle. The two looked into each other’s eyes as if they had been star-crossed lovers, finally meeting in the middle.
Jason pushed the food aside and lifted Connie onto the table, setting her on the edge and they continued ravaging each other’s mouths. His hands caressed her hips and sides, slowly, gently, curiously…
Connie jerked at the tickling sensation but kept her hands wrapped around the back of his neck, pulling his lips into hers.
Neither noticed the crack in the doorway or the numerous sets of eyes peeking at their display of affection. The servants thought their young master was a callous and unfeeling man, but all it took was finding the right woman.

Dorian sat with two of his callgirls perched on either arm. The FBI agent sitting on the sofa opposite him looked like a disgruntled pufferfish, all black and blue.
“So what is it you wanted to say?”
The agent eyed the two girls cautiously. “It’s sensitive…”
Dorian sighed lazily. “Get some fresh air, ladies.”
The women got up obediently and filed out. The agent waited until the door clicked close before he spoke.
“I was looking into Ace like you wanted but before I got to anything substantial, someone jumped me and threatened me.”
“Who was it?”
“Hell if I know! It was a whole bunch of gangsters. The leader had his face masked… maybe it was Ace himself?”
Dorian rubbed his chin, contemplating the possibility. If Ace was affiliated with the underworld, it would be a little harder to eradicate him, but not by much.
“Were you able to glean any clues on the group he was affiliated with?”
“No. They had me masked and drugged when they moved me around. Even the seedy bar I was held in looked deserted.”
“Well, that was a waste of time.”
“Excuse me?”
“You come here expecting me to exact revenge for you but you know nothing. You don’t even have the information I need about Ace. What good are you to me?”
The agent gulped. “Look. Dorian, I did what you asked and looked into Ace…”
“And you’re giving me the same information that I already know. Tell me something I don’t know.”
The agent licked his lips and implored Dorian, “Give me more time! I’ll find something useful, I promise!”
Dorian chuckled, “You better. I don’t like people wasting my time.” He stood up and started to walk out leaving the agent trembling on the sofa.
“Oh,” Dorian turned at the door as if he just remembered something, “the next time you come without any good information, I’ll cut off one of your fingers.”
The agent nodded furiously. “Yes, yes yes…I’ll start working on it as soon as I get back to the office.”
Dorian snorted and walked out of the room. What a stupid pig. This agent was someone his father had supported and now that Dorian took over the helm of the underworld business, the agent reported to him. But Dorian was unsatisfied with his performance– the man was incompetent and a power-hungry fool.
It was time to get fresh agents on his payroll. He smirked and walked down the dimly lit halls of his gentleman’s club.
“There’s a cop here talking to our boss.”
Dorian stopped and turned toward the slightly open door in the hallway. Glancing in, he found one of the callgirls from earlier whispering into her phone.
“He looked all black and blue. He looks like he just came in from…AAAH!!!”
The woman screamed, dropping her phone. Dorian had slipped into the room and grabbed a fistful of her hair, yanking it back.
His face plastered against hers like an evil demon in the dark. “Who are you talking to, sweetie?”
“N- No one!”
“Oh? You know how I hate liars.”
“It’s just a friend!”
Dorian licked the tears that flowed down her face. “Shh shh shh, don’t cry, sweetie. Just hand me the phone and let me talk to your friend.”
The woman fumbled around her, feeling for her phone. She whimpered, “I can’t see it when you’re pulling my hair back… AH,” she screamed again as he yanked hard.
“It’s on your right. Hmm, a little farther. There.”
She grabbed the phone and handed it over shakily.
“Now that wasn’t so hard was it?” Dorian hummed happily, “Hello? Are you still on the call?”
A gruff male voice shouted, “Let her go, you s**t!”
Dorian tsked, “I wouldn’t aggravate me if I were you. I’m guessing this is your little lover? You know our line of business, we don’t take to traitors very kindly so I suggest you give me the information I want, otherwise, I’ll send you off on a scavenger hunt to find all your girlfriend’s body parts.”
“f**k you, Dorian! You’ll get yours!”
“Wrong answer…”
Dorian pulled the girl down by the hair and sent her sprawling on the floor. The man on the other end of the phone heard a muted groan.
“Stop! Please stop! Promise me you won’t hurt her and I’ll tell you what you want to know!”
Dorian smiled. “That’s more like it!” Looking down at the whimpering woman on the floor he sneered.
“Who do you work for?”
The man shakily responded, “Venom.”
“Do you know who Ace is?”
“I know of him but I don’t know him personally.”
“Is Ace part of Venom?”
The man hesitated, then responded softly, “Yes.”
Dorian’s eyes lit up with the revelation, crouching down to the cowering woman he patted her face none too gently. “You did good! Now get out of my sight. If I ever see you again, I’ll kill you.” Dorian tossed the phone into the woman’s lap and stood back up.
The woman grabbed her phone before staggering up and running out of the room.
Dorian’s smile hardened as the sound of her rapid footsteps faded. He learned from experience that the easiest way to take down the enemy was to attack their loved ones. Fortunately for him, his father had him hog-tied and confined under heavy surveillance, otherwise he would have died a long time ago.
Dorian felt something wet on his cheek and he ran a calloused thumb over it curiously. It must have been left over by the woman just now.
