Chapter 37 I met with Borden twice in the next week. We talked about the music, the places I’d play, what the time schedule might be, and the money I’d make. It was very seductive but I still wasn’t sure what to do. “You must make a commitment within the next few days,” he told me. “These orchestras will announce next year’s series by the end of next month. If you want to get on their schedules, we have to sign very soon. If you don’t, someone else will.” * * * * It was exciting but it was scary.
