The next day, I had a lesson with Beverly. After I’d played through the first movement of the sonata I was working on, I sat back.
“I’ve been offered a concert tour,” I started.
“Really?”
I couldn’t tell what she was thinking.
“Borden Collins from Classical Presentations contacted me about a week ago. He said he has several minor orchestras who want to add a concerto to their programming.”
“CP is a good company. You’ll get good representation and management. They work very hard for their clients. When will the tour start?”
“I don’t know. I haven’t accepted it yet.” I heard my voice get softer and more childlike.
“Why not?”
“Do you think I should?”
