When I walked out onto the set, Joel came over to me. “Beautiful,” was all he said. I went over and got my cello out of its case. I sat down in a folding chair and tightened my bow. Then I started to tune my cello. Joel just stood there watching me. I set the music to the Black Pearl theme on the floor and started to play it. I’d reviewed it in the car on the way here, so I thought I had it memorized. Now, just to get my fingers to remember it. Through all my practicing, Joel stood here watching.
