Chapter 24
Jane was already there when I arrived the next morning.
“Hi, Chris,” she greeted me. “I couldn’t wait to see this shoot.”
“I can,” I told her. “I’m a bit nervous.”
“Oh, don’t be, honey. You’ll be great.”
Mimi walked up. “We’ll start in the tux today. All of it, then we’ll take it off piece by piece. Come on into the back and I’ll get you dressed.”
“Did you get the corset?” Jane asked.
Mimi smiled. “Wait till you see it.”
She rushed me into the back room. In a few minutes, I was fully dressed in a tuxedo with shirt and bow tie. I even had a corsage. Then the make-up people took over.
A short, dark-haired man came into the prep room while I was still having make-up applied. “Chris? I’m Joel Simpson. I’ll be your director today.”
I looked over at him.
