Chapter 23 When I got to my apartment, I set my cello on the floor of the hallway and tossed the photos onto the couch. The light on my answering machine was blinking wildly. I knew that meant I had more than one message. The light blinked faster with each message. I pressed a button and it told me I had seven messages. Did I know seven people? Who would call me? Maybe. But I had to hit the shower first. The messages could wait until I smelled better. I took a very long shower. The other residents of the building could just wait.
