Chapter 46The two and a half days watching and waiting were monotonous and seemed to drag on forever. The only excitement came in the morning when Catherine, who was sound asleep, awoke to a large dog standing over her. She almost screamed but caught herself.
“Hello there. Are you friendly?” She asked in as calm a tone as she could. As she spoke, her hand was working its way towards the taser. At about the same time she got her hand around it, the dog curled up and lay down, leaning against her thigh, with his tail repeatedly smacking the ground next to her.
