Chapter 18 – Royally busted

1027 Words
Lathen’s arms tightening around me, the feeling was overwhelmingly good. I missing this, I missed him. He was the one person who was always there for me and by my side, he was my best friend. “I don’t know yet, it’s a long story.” His familiar scent drifting through the air, I could not remember the last time I felt so carefree. Even if it was just for a moment, I forgot all the stress that was currently my life. His arms tightening further, Lathen finally released me, holding me at arm’s length looking to my face. His eyes bright, I knew there was something behind his return. He was supposed to still be away for a year or two of study, he was not supposed to come back. In fact, recently I had not heard from him at all, and with everything going on at home, I too had not texted or called. Wanting to know more and having a few secrets of my own to spill. This was definitely a good chance to get some advice and escape for a while. “Lathen come inside.” Having second thoughts on that idea, I rolled my r. “Orrrr… we can go to a café, yes a café. Lets go, now!” My voice turning snappy, I needed to rush, we needed to get away from here before Heath woke. A smile cracking on his face, his eyes averted behind me. Lathen’s eyes widening significantly, his voice was a whisper of excitement. “Who the f**k is that watching us from your door! He was beyond gorgeous!” Fingers slightly digging into my arms, “is that one of your mother’s new conquests?” Unable to help himself, Lathen continued, “she really has good taste. Do you think she could help me find one?” Amusement lacing his tone he leant in closer, “or is she finished because I will gladly…” Trying to grab his attention and stop the road I knew he was going down, “Lathen focus!” The last thing I wanted to do right now was turn around and walk back into that house. “You me café, please. I need a break.” His eye snapping back to my own, a frown pulled at his perfect face. “I can’t, I have to go home and see my mother, but I wanted to pop by first to see you. Let you know I was back since we have not spoken much lately.” Lathen’s eye continually flickering between myself and Heath who must have been standing at the door burning a hole in my back with his gaze. “Does he always stare at you like that?” Feeling the heat in my cheeks, I almost turned away though resisted the reaction. Catching myself within a heartbeat, I could never hide anything from Lathen, even when I tried. “Wait, is that Eric? Can I meet him?” “No!” My voice shot out louder then I intended. “Ali.” Heath’s voice sending a shockwave through my chest, I could feel my heart race as the warning in his tone was evident. “Okay time to go, we don’t have enough time for all that. Text me!” Whispering as I span Lathen as quickly as possible, I all but shoved him across the road as I watched after him. Finally turning back toward the house, Heath was still standing in the door way, his eyes fixated on me. “You okay Ali?” Oh god… Standing shirtless leaning against the door frame, his arms crossed over his chest, he was impeccable. All I wanted to do was to run over and run my hands down those defined abs. Turning my head to try and calm my thoughts I nodded as I looked back to Lathen who was strutting over to a car reaching out his hand to run it down the side. Swivelling back, I slowly kicked into a forward motion having gained the courage to place one foot in front of the other. Heath’s eyes still trained on me, I felt self conscious, I felt anxious, I felt well annoyed at myself. Why should I feel anxious, he is the one that needs to do some explaining. A this point I do not even know what this is anymore, we did not really have a chance to talk about it. Though after last night whether it be my mother or someone else, he clearly had options, ones that did not include me. Approaching his position, Heath took his hand from his chest reaching into his pocket. His hand rising in the air, my car keys dangling from his finger. Extending my hand to grab them as he pulled them back out of my reach, I almost fell forward to grab them. “You forgot these.” Turning swiftly, I could not help but look back up and down the street for onlookers. Audibly sighing, my idea to sneak out had backfired royally. Moving for the door, my body swept past Heath’s swiftly. His body stepping closer, I could feel his bare chest as he grazed against me. The door pulled shut behind me with a bang, I moved into the kitchen hastily. Standing in front of the island, I could not bring myself to turn as Heath grew closer. Each step tapping along the floor, my skin itched wanting for him to reach out and hold me. Though I knew if he touched me, the only logical thing for me to do was pull away.   Read ahead on my p*****n https://www.patreon.com/tigerlillie60 Also gain access to early chapters of this book and my other each week as well as weekly erotic one shots.
