CHAPTER TWENTY The sea trip to Samola was uneventful. The seas were surprisingly calm and even Trelio was in good spirits. There was trepidation about entering occupied Damolia, but Kalos seemed to have the knack of finding the most isolated and quiet part of any dock and attracting no attention. It was almost like his ship was invisible to suspicion. Again, Kalos and Trelio went to see about buying back Stanley the parrot, this time from the puppet King Canoo of Damolia. Hilary tagged along as well. Trelio tried to talk her out of it but she was unmoved. She was actually extremely helpful to the pair, as unlike them she knew Samola, and the royal palace, very well. Using her old contacts, she managed to get them an audience with the King. The trio went up to see the King, bowing
