Chapter 13: Becoming Luna

*** Genevieve POV ***

                As I wake up in the morning, I stretch and feel deliciously sore. It was hard waiting as long as I

did before having s*x, but last night as my first time was so worth it. I sit up scooch over to the edge of

the bed. I go to stand up and I immediately fall down.

                “Ahh!!” I yell. Jack sits up straight in bed.

                “What’s wrong?!? What’s goin’ on? Wait, why are you on the floor?” He asks confused and half

asleep.

                “Because of you! I needed to go to the bathroom, I go to stand up and my f*cking legs don’t

work! This is your fault. My body is still trying to recover from last night.” I say frustrated. I have a whole

event today, I don’t know how I’m supposed to be able to walk if I can’t even get up to go pee.

                Jack starts laughing as he gets out of bed. He comes over and helps me to my feet. He assists me

walking to the bathroom on legs that were shaking the whole time. I kick him out so I can take care of

business. Then I use the walls to keep me standing. I need to be able to walk today d*mmit!!

                After we finish getting ready for the morning, and I can start to walk normal, we head

downstairs to the kitchen for breakfast. We step onto the first floor and walk into madness. What looks

like every omega in the pack is running around with something. One of them has flowers, the other has

decorations. I’m confused by everything until we see Jack’s mother come barreling toward us.

                “THERE Y’ALL ARE!! Where have you been?! We don’t have long and we still need to find you a

dress!” Ava practically yells.

                “What do you mean? What’s going on, mom?” Jack asks.

                She stares him like he’s grown two heads, “Boy, have you lost you ever lovin’ mind? Today Gen

is becoming Luna.”

                “What? This is all for me? But I thought since it was such short notice that we would do

something small?” I question.

                She scoffs, “Goddess no! You are the Luna of this pack. You will have a Luna Ceremony, it just

can’t have a specific theme since it is last minute. However, since you were later than I expected coming

down, I blame that on you Jack because I’m sure you were a part of that. But, nonetheless go into the

kitchen and grab some breakfast, make it quick since there’s a lot to do today and you still need to find a

dress. I apologize, but with me being here and getting the ceremony ready I can’t come with you. So, I

suggest you letting whoever you want to come with you aware and make sure they leave on time.” She

finishes.

                “Ok! My mom is coming later, I’m hoping that you can incorporate something that represents

her in it?”

                “We can try to do that… Is there anything specific you had in mind?” She asks.

                “Well… We just found out that she’s Eos, Goddess of the Dawn, and apparently, I have a piece of

the moon goddess’ soul in me, so that makes me a demi-goddess. I just want to represent those aspects

as well.” She stared at me, but seemed to be looking past me.

                “Mom? You ok?” Jack asks.

                “Ye-, Wo-, Are you seri-. I can’t form a coherent thought,” She takes a deep breath and

refocuses. “Are you serious?” We both nod our heads and explain to Ava what my mom told us last

night.

                “Wow, that is absolutely incredible. I will think of ways to incorporate things relating to your

mom. You just do what I said for now and go eat breakfast and start your day.” She says while mumbling

to herself and walking away while pulling out her phone. I’m assuming to call her husband and explain

everything to him.

                I pile on some fruit, breakfast meat and eggs. I send my mom a quick text to meet me in an hour

and just sit back and relax. Goddess knows that I won’t have time to do for the rest of the day, or longer

I should say since I’m going to be turned tonight too.

                When my mom arrives, we take Jojo and Scar also since they’ll be getting their titles today too.

We decide to take two cars since the dresses with take up a good amount of space and we’ll need room

for all of our guards. Beast was able to meet us at the packhouse and from there we headed out. We

decide to go to a bridal shop since they’ll have the best selection for what we need.

                We go in and decide that it would be really nice if we go in and each find dresses that are one of

the colors of the pack.

                We each grab a sales consultant; my mom comes with me. Once we find enough dresses for

each of us try to on we go into the fitting rooms. A while later, and many dresses we come out of the

shop victories. We were very grateful at the large selection that they had with non-wedding dresses

since we didn’t have time for any alterations.

                Scar, decided to go with the burnt orange color. She picked a strapless dress where the front

sides peaked with sparkles in similar color with dress. It pooled at her feet in a circle around her, it had a

slit up to her top thigh. Jojo picked a navy-blue dress that came in two parts. The first was the actual

dress. The top came up to her collarbones and had no sleeves but have a dramatic V neckline down to

her belly button. It reached the ground but just barely. The second part was an attachment of the same

color and design that made the dress almost look like it was covered in feathers, even though it was just

the material, that was tied around the waist to make the dress look bigger than what it is. Which is great

since it’s still very hot in Texas.

                Finally, I picked a spaghetti strap dramatic sweetheart neckline ballgown with a slit up my waist,

I guess I’m going commando tonight. It’s white, with designs on the bodice and the bottom of the dress

with some beading as well that represent some flowers. And it has POCKETS!! I was so excited since I

didn’t have to leave my smaller personal items laying around.

                We stopped at a cute little mom and pop jewelry store. We all decided to keep it very simple. I

just got diamond studs, while Jojo and Scar got small diamond pendant necklaces in the shape of moons.

                We got done by midafternoon, which was good since Ava was blowing up my phone wondering

where was I. We arrive back at the packhouse and Ava immediately takes all of us women into a room

that looks like a spa.

                “What?! Are you telling me that we’ve had a spa in this house for the past week and we haven’t

been notified at all?!” Jojo exclaims excitedly. I couldn’t wait to use this in the future.

                We received full body massages, exfoliating, facial, even waxed – all over. It hurt, but it was so

worth how smooth it felt after. We were even given vaginal steam baths. When this technician brought

out a steamer and made me sit on it, I didn’t know what to think of it. But afterward I felt like I had been

cleaned and detoxed in all the right places.

We got our nails done, then Ava and pulls me into a room with a makeup and hair stylist. They

kept make up very natural only putting on a small amount of foundation, blush. They decided to do a

very subtle eye shadow and a winged eye liner. Once everything was completed, I was able to put on my

dress.

                Finally, we were ready and headed down the stairs. Thankfully my slit made it easier to walk in. I

knew that I looked incredibly sexy with how high the slit went, but I didn’t realize the effect that I would

have on Jack when I came downstairs. He growled and his eyes turned back instantly before turning

back to their beautiful hazel color. He came over to me and helped me down the last few step. He

looked so handsome in his black and white skintight suit. It made me want to jump him.

                “Careful Darlin’, I can smell your arousal. I don’t know why, but it’s incredibly strong today.” He

leans forward and whispers in my ear. I turn to him and whisper back, that’s because I’m not wearing

any panties and this slit goes past my hips.” I hear the rumble in his chest. His arm snakes around my

midriff and pulls me closer.

                “Are you ready to become my Luna?”

                “I was born ready.” I answer, then we turn to see Jojo and Scar coming into the room with

Sebastian and Josh. Behind them were the guards. We all took our places with Josh and Scar going out

first, then Sebastian and Jojo. Lastly, it will be Jack and me. I take one last breath before stepping out

onto the back porch.

                We decided to do the ceremony on the back deck since it overlooks the valley and all 700 pack

members would be able to watch in peace and comfort.

                “Good Evening Moon Valley pack!” Jack addressed the crowd. “I thank you for taking time off on

such short notice while we celebrate. I would like to introduce a few new ranked members to everyone.

First, we have Scarlett Lee, she is your new Gamma Female.” The crowd erupted into cheers and hollers.

“Next, we have Jolene Hartford, she is your new Beta Female.” The crowd screamed and shouted once

again, in welcoming their new leadings.

                “Lastly, but surely not least, there’s my beautiful mate and your soon-to-be Luna, Genevieve

Murphy.” This time when the crowd went wild it felt as if there was an earthquake occurring. My ears

were ringing by the time they quieted down. I stepped forward to address the crowd myself, “I, also,

wanted to thank you for allowing us all to spend time together and to accept me at your Luna. I couldn’t

be more grateful. I will cherish and protect you all to the best of my abilities for as long as I live.

However, before we proceed I want you to understand the lengths that I will go if someone does mess

with our pack. I have been recently informed that not only am I a daughter of Eos, the moon goddess’

sister, but I have been given a piece of the moon goddess’s soul. So, that Selene and I are connected. I

don’t know what that means yet exactly, but I want you to understand and accept me as I am so that I

may protect each and everyone one of you.” I finished my explanation and held my breath. I wanted this

pack, more than anything, but I wanted to make sure that they wanted me too. The crowd was quiet

and I started to get worried, when I looked out at the pack members I saw pride and determination and

love and acceptance in each of their faces. Then, one my one each member stood up and took a knee

and as a chorus they all said back at me, “We will love you, we will follow, we will respect you and we

will defend you. On our honor.”

                This brought tears to my eyes. I knew that I would have difficulties again, some within the pack,

but the majority outside of it. However, I knew that with the exception of one or two issues this pack

had my back as much as I had theirs.

                I turned back to Jack. He took my hand and kissed it. An Elder Kenneth came up with an old

looking chalice and ushered Josh and Scarlett up first.

                “Do you Scarlett swear in front of your pack that you will provide the best defense, best support

and understanding to help this pack? Will you follow your Alpha no matter where he leads, as long as

you are in this position?” The elder asked.

                “I do.” Scarlett took the Chalice and drank from it, then Josh did the same. Next was Jojo and

Sebastian.

                “Do you Jolene swear in front of your pack that you will provide the best defense, best support

and understanding to help this pack? Will you follow your Alpha no matter where he leads, as long as

you are in this position?” The elder repeats himself.

                “I do.” Jojo agrees, and once again the chalice is shared between mates. Then, Jack and I are

ushered in front of Elder Kenneth.

                “Do you Genevieve swear in front of your pack that you will provide the best defense, best

support and understanding to help this pack? Will you follow your Alpha no matter where he leads, as

long as you are in this position?” He repeats himself once more then adds, “Do you swear to only use

your powers for good, you will not commit any crimes unnecessarily and not for the good of the pack, you

will not use them maliciously?”

                “I swear it.” I grab the chalice and take a drink from it then hand it Jack and he takes a drink. I

feel a tingling sensation. It starts small and slowly starts to build until it’s almost a pulsing sensation

beneath my skin. I look at Jack and he seems to be reacting the same way I do.

                The elder turns to the pack and announces, “I now present to you your ranked member.” He

then gestures towards all of us.

                Once he does that, the pulsing sensation intensifies. The moon starts to slow just then and

become brighter. I looks like it’s getting closer. I hear everyone start to exclaim, some becoming

frightened. Before it could get any brighter or close the moon shape shifts and starts to take the form of

a person, then more noticeably a woman. She lands on the deck beside us.

                “Good Evening, my name is Selene.” There was a collective gasp. “I am here today to bless this

union between the ranked mates and also between the ranked members and the pack.”

                “Oh wow, thank you!” I step forward and curtsy.

                “Oh, please. Don’t bow I know that you are feeling some discomfort now. Am I correct?” I nod

my head.

                “I thought so. You see when I gave you a piece of my soul and paired you with Jack here and this

pack you were never meant to be human. So, this is a way of telling you that you need to be turned, and

now.”

                “Wait, now?” Jack steps forward and asks shocked.

                “Yes, now. Both of your ranked members. Trust in me and I allow it to be quick and painless.”

                Chairs were brought forward for Sebastian and Jack to sit down. Jojo and I sat down on their

laps with our backs to their fronts.

                I tilted my head to the side and made eye contact with Selene who smiled and nodded her head.

I took a deep breath and felt Jack kiss my neck. After a few second, I felt his canines scrape my skin then

pierce it. He started to bite even harder and soon I felt him hit bone. The pain was so great that I was

rendered speechless, I did hear Jojo spear scream. Then I blacked out.
