KIERAN Something was wrong. I couldn't explain what it was, but the moment Aurora walked into the pack house, something inside me had been restless. And it had only gotten worse after seeing her with Marcel. I stood at the end of the hallway, my arms crossed over my chest as I watched Julian drag Aurora away from him. My jaw tightened, not because Marcel had touched her but because.... "You're lying to yourself," my wolf's voice echoed through my head, irritatingly calm. "Shut up Sable" I cursed at him. "You know exactly why you're angry" He pressed further, and I ignored him and turned my attention towards Aurora. She was walking beside Julian, looking around the pack house with those curious eyes of hers. She seemed completely unaware of the effect she had on everyone around her. Especially us..... I had noticed it from the moment she arrived. The strange pull. The unfamiliar familiarity. Her scent. It shouldn't have affected me the way it did, but then it did, and I hated it. I hated how my wolf became restless whenever she was near. How my senses sharpened without my permission. How every part of me seemed to recognize something my mind refused to understand. Then there was Marcel. I watched him from across the hall. He was still standing where Aurora had left him, a faint smile playing on his lips, and that smile irritated me. Marcel didn't smile like that unless he wanted something, and I knew exactly what he wanted. "Aurora," Sable growled. I clenched my fists hard, trying to put some words into Sable's ears…." She's not yours, you know" "Neither is she theirs!!" My brows pulled together at his words. "What the hell does that mean?" I found myself asking. Sable didn't answer; instead, he retreated, leaving me with the same unsettling feeling that had been following me since Aurora arrived. I glanced towards the staircase. Julian and Aurora were already disappearing. I should have walked away. I should have left them alone. Instead, my feet moved, and I jumped down from the stairs' racks and landed on the floor, right in front of Marcel. "Oh Prince Kieran? Now where did you fall out from?" Marcel asked still been so formal and I hated the fact that he's trying to act so courteous. "Quit the formalities, Marcel; just don't make a move like that on her again. Not to forget, she's Mother Lois's daughter, so if you mess with her, you're gone" I warned, and his smile only broadened. "You and Julian seem to have mistaken me, you know. I wouldn't be so foolish to release my charms on her I was only welcoming her in and if I was to be interested in her I will do it the right way but for the now I barely know her, so I will just have to see how much interesting she can be before falling head over heels for her. Although for now her beauty is quite outstanding, and she's sure a good one" He kept yapping and yapping, and I rolled my eyes inwardly. "Don't get me wrong, Marcel, but it will be better if you avoid her fully" I turned to the stairs in hope of going after them. "Now I feel this is a personal threat. You're more into her than I thought" "You seem to talk too much lately, Marcel, and just so you know, she detected your seductive charms" I turned around and climbed the stairs as Marcel's smile immediately disappeared. "You're not serious, are you??" "What?? I thought you said we were mistaken about you? She isn't some random girl, Marcel, so that means none of your charms will work on her, and even if you were to fall head over heels for her later on, I could bet she wouldn't fall for you too" I climbed the stairs and immediately went after them, leaving Marcel shattered. He's so surprised that someone else can detect his seductive charms aside from us. But how Aurora could detect it, is still a mystery. I could see her face, and I read her body reaction the moment Marcel's lips touched her knuckles. She was so flushed, and she was already getting charmed. If Julian hadn't pulled her away immediately, then she would have been too charmed to not notice, but then she noticed it. I heard it…. I read her lips when she asked Julian, and just like Julian, I was stunned as well. But if Marcel were to have succeeded in charming her, then he's sure gone. Because he would be out of his mind if he dared lure her into his bed....how stupid. "Good day Prince Kieran!" "Good day Prince" "My prince!" I walked further, practically ignoring all of their greetings. I reached a lane, and Aurora suddenly stopped. Julian had already gone ahead. She turned around, and her eyes met mine, and for one brief second, the entire world went silent. That look. Those eyes. That scent. My heart slammed against my chest rapidly. No, it couldn't be. s**t!! She wasn't supposed to see me. Now I have to act like I wasn't just following her. Aurora stared at me, her brows slowly drawing together then she called my name. "Kieran?" I said nothing and continued walking forward in hope of heading past her when she took a cautious step towards me and blocked my path. "You....." "Why do I always feel like I've seen you somewhere before each time I look into your eyes???" She asked, and I knitted my brows at her. "What?!" "I don't know, but each time I look at you, I feel I knew you so deep, and I'm sorry to ask, were you somehow there on that day when...forget about that. But I've been wanting to ask you what you meant by I'm off limits??" I gulped down nothing, wondering how the hell I'm supposed to answer her. I just said that practically after seeing Lucien positioning himself so close to her. That brat, he's always using that fake side of him to get close to people and let them be free and open with him before revealing his true face, and that's just why I wanted to shield Aurora from him; else.....she will eventually regret the day she came here. "I...' "I'm so sorry for disturbing you, Prince Kieran, I will get going now" She immediately turned around and started running towards Julian. I watched her retreating figure without saying a word. I didn't had an answer to that so all I could do was to watch her leave. I took in a deep breath before turning around. Well, it looks like Lucien has some toys I can deal with. Then it's best I go punch out some souls. "Prince Kieran? The elders are gathered in the courtroom, and we were told to bring you in for some interrogations" One of the warriors in-charged of guarding the courtroom reported as my brows creased slightly. "Interrogation?? What do you mean??"
