Chapter Two

I don’t know why the protagonist wants to be my bodyguard. Is he insane?! Does he want to be my bodyguard to easily annihilate me?! I must stop him first before my mother accept his request—

“That would be nice, Aziel. I think you being a bodyguard for my son is great!” Madame Liu said.

What the?! Are you even my mother? Can’t you see you are letting a tiger eat the prey! The prey is your son! If only this body is not weak, I could protect myself and stay away from this protagonist! Being near with him is really dangerous! Why can’t I move? The heck is this spiritual energy?! Aaargh! I want to curse Liu Junjie but I am him right now!

“N-no, I don’t… need… a bodyguard!” I tried to speak but I am too weak right now.

Madame Liu tried to lay me down and covered me with blanket. I really need to regain spiritual energy and try to get stronger. If the story wants me to get closer to Aziel, then I must protect myself and avoid being in trouble. If the last solution is hugging the golden thigh, then I must swallow my pride and hug the protagonist’s thigh! Survival must be my top priority, since this life is my second chance to live.

“Nonsense! Look at you! You need someone to protect and assist you, besides, your father trusted Aziel since he brought himhere as his disciple!” madame Liu insisted.

I remained silent. I can’t reply to that since she’s right. Right now, I am very weak that I can’t move my body freely and I even can’t speak properly! I have to wait to regain this brat’s spiritual energy and once I have that so-called spiritual energy, I am going to train myself stronger to protect myself!

After that several scolding from Madame Liu, she left me here with Aziel. It was truly awkward, he was sitting near the door while I am lying down in the bed facing the wall, avoiding Aziel. I can feel his stares from my back which is really uncomfortable. I don’t know why he really wants this job as my bodyguard, but I know, he has some hidden agenda.

(Third person’s pov)

Aziel was abandoned as a child and was living as a slave. He was thankful Master Liu made him as his disciple but being his disciple was not simple. When he arrived at Master Liu’s temple, he saw lots of kids and teens practicing martial arts, he was really excited to learn martial arts in Master Liu’s temple until he heard from Master Liu’s son that his master took him as his disciple rather than his son. He can hear that the master’s son was sad and angry from his tone. He understands why the master’s son is angry because the master did not take his own son as his own disciple, but instead took a stranger, worse, it was a slave.

Aziel felt guilty while being Master Liu’s disciple because of the master’s son, he lately found out that his name is Liu Junjie. He learned it from the kids who bullied him. They always say to him that they will avenge their boss. He was confused why they would avenge their boss, now he understands. The news spread fast that Liu Junjie fell into a coma after that incident. So, his guilt became heavier. While practicing with master Liu, he tries to ask about Liu Junjie’s situation but Master Liu seemed like he never cares for his son at all. It felt like, he does not have a son! Now, Aziel felt sad for Liu Junjie, even though he has a family, but Liu Junjie felt like he only has a mother and a sister.

When the news spread that Liu Junjie has awoken, madame Liu and Liu Xiuying was happy and they went straight to Liu Junjie. But the bad news was, he does not remember anyone and he lost a lot of spiritual energy. While Liu Junjie was walking and observing the whole place, he secretly followed him but he was grabbed by the people who bullied him and tried to pester him again. But someone stopped them, he did not expect that Liu Junjie protected him.

“Yes, and what is the meaning of this?” a voice appeared that made the bullies flinch.

“We punished him for you—”

“Who said you can punish him without my permission?” Liu Junjie asked sternly.

“I—”

“Scram! You go back to the training center and train!”

Aziel was still daydreaming, he can’t believe the young master protected him from those bullies. He even thought that maybe Liu Junjie losing his memories is a blessing in a disguise. He slapped himself for thinking bad thoughts. He shouldn’t think about that. He must not think bad thoughts towards the young master because he still feels guilty about stealing the title of disciple from Master Liu.

When everyone gathered in the practice hall, they were taught with a new technique until there was a loud thud and they saw Liu Junjie collapsed on the floor. His friends were in panicked and they were thinking what they would do to the young master. Aziel immediately grabbed Liu Junjie and carried him from his arms.

“Liu Junjie! Release our boss from your filthy hands!” Huang Peizhi said.

“I am going to take him to the clinic.”

“Liu Junjie, drop him on the floor and let the other students take him instead!” Master Liu said.

“Sorry master, I will take him to the clinic by myself.” He said then immediately left the place.

Aziel walked fast as he can since he cannot feel his heartbeat, it was really slow and a little bit quiet. He thought that his spiritual energy is indeed very low.

“Put me down.” He heard Liu Junjie weakly said.

“No, I must bring you to the physician’s office, young master! You are exhausted, you should not force yourself to practice with us.” Aziel spoke.

“No, I must… must—”

Liu Junjie lost his conscious again in Aziel’s chest, so Aziel walked faster until they reached the clinic. He slowly put Liu Junjie on the bed and called the physician and madame Liu. Madame Liu immediately ran towards the clinic and cried while holding her son’s hand. While the physician examined then later explained Liu Junjie’s condition, madame Liu slowly calmed down and looked at her son. Liu Junjie looked pitiful and pale. Many people thought that maybe Liu Junjie and Liu Xiuying is not Master Liu’s children because he avoids them even his own wife. But they also thought that it is impossible because madame Liu is not someone who will have some love affair because she came from a noble family. She was the emperor and the empress consort’s daughter, she was even given the title, princess consort but was soon demoted because she fell in love with Master Liu, he was from the family of martial artists. Madame Liu sacrificed herself and removed her noble title all for love. But it looks like her sacrifices was all for nothing since everyone can see Master Liu treated her and her children coldly. But she still loves him unconditionally.

People secretly thinks that Master Liu is a scum.

When Liu Junjie opened his eyes, madame Liu was happy and told her son to rest and nagged him again and again. Aziel was really jealous looking at the scene in front of him. He thought, ‘how does it feels like being nagged from your family?’ he shooed away his thoughts and looked at Liu Junjie who was so weak right now that he could not move.

When madame Liu asked what kind of reward that Aziel wants, he then has an idea in his mind. He wanted to protect the young master since he looks to weak right now and lessen his guilt. Liu Junjie tried to stop him but madame Liu accepted his proposal. When madame Liu and the physician left the two teenagers in the clinic, Liu Junjie was facing the wall, ignoring Aziel while Aziel was staring at Liu Junjie’s back. Aziel was happy he is finally Liu Junjie’s bodyguard and he promised to himself that he will protect Liu Junjie’s life and become stronger, to prove the young master that he is capable to be his bodyguard.
