On her wedding day, Bella is publicly humiliated and abandoned by the man she trusted most. Broken and alone, she disappears—carrying a secret that will change everything.

Years later, she returns, no longer the weak woman they once knew. Armed with the truth about her father’s mysterious death and a dangerous secret powerful men would kill to protect, Bella is ready to fight back.

But when she crosses paths with a cold, powerful billionaire who refuses to let her walk away, her carefully built walls begin to crumble. As enemies close in and the past resurfaces, Bella must decide: protect her heart… or risk everything for love and justice.

Because this time, she’s not the girl who was rejected.

She’s the woman who will make them regret it.

Rejected at the altar
Alexander, do you take Bella Carter as your lawful wife?” The priest’s voice echoed through the luxurious hall, decorated with crystal chandeliers and white roses. Every eye in the room was fixed on the couple standing at the altar. Bella Carter’s heart pounded violently in her chest as she looked up at the man she loved. Alexander Knight. The most powerful billionaire in the city. The man she had secretly loved for years. This was supposed to be the happiest day of her life. But something felt… wrong. Alexander didn’t answer. Instead, a cold, mocking smile slowly spread across his face. A ripple of confusion passed through the guests. Bella’s grip tightened around her bouquet. “Alexander?” she whispered nervously. “What’s wrong?” He let out a low chuckle. “Wife?” he repeated, his voice filled with ridicule. “You think you’re worthy of that title?” The words hit her like a slap. The hall fell silent. Bella blinked in shock. “What… are you saying?” Alexander took a step closer, his sharp gaze filled with nothing but disdain. “I’m saying,” he said slowly, clearly, “this wedding is a joke.” Gasps erupted across the room. Bella’s face went pale. “A joke? Alexander, this isn’t funny…” “Oh, I’m not joking,” he replied coldly. Her heart began to race. Something was terribly wrong. “You agreed to this marriage,” she said, her voice trembling. “Our families—” “Our families forced it,” he cut in harshly. “Don’t mistake obligation for love.” Bella felt like the ground beneath her feet had disappeared. Forced? Obligation? Was that all she meant to him? “Then… why didn’t you say anything before now?” she asked, her voice barely above a whisper. Alexander smirked. “Because,” he said, pulling out his phone, “I wanted everyone to see who you really are.” A bad feeling settled deep in Bella’s stomach. He raised his phone high enough for the guests nearby to see. Bella’s breath caught. On the screen were photos. Photos of her… with another man. In a hotel room. Looking intimate. Her eyes widened in horror. “That’s not real! I’ve never—” “Enough!” Alexander snapped. The sudden anger in his voice made her flinch. He grabbed her wrist roughly, his grip tight and painful. “You dare to cheat on me before our wedding?” he demanded, his eyes blazing with fury. “Did you really think I wouldn’t find out?” “I didn’t cheat!” Bella cried desperately, shaking her head. “Someone is trying to frame me! You have to believe me!” But he didn’t. Not even for a second. The murmurs in the hall grew louder. “She’s disgusting…” “A gold digger…” “I knew she wasn’t good enough for him…” Bella’s chest tightened as humiliation washed over her. Tears blurred her vision. “Alexander, please,” she begged, her voice breaking. “You know me. I would never do something like this. Please… trust me…” His expression didn’t change. If anything, it became colder. “I don’t know you,” he said flatly. Her world stopped. “And I don’t want to.” Those words shattered something deep inside her. Bella stared at him, her lips trembling, unable to believe what she was hearing. This was the man she loved. The man she trusted. The man she was about to marry. And yet… he looked at her like she was nothing. Like she was dirt beneath his feet. “I gave you a chance,” Alexander continued coldly. “I was willing to tolerate this marriage for the sake of our families. But I will not marry a woman who humiliates me.” “I didn’t—” “Save it,” he cut her off again. Then, in front of everyone— He slowly removed the wedding ring from his finger. Bella’s eyes followed the movement, her heart pounding wildly. “No… Alexander, don’t…” she whispered. But it was too late. He threw the ring at her feet. The sound echoed loudly in the silent hall. “This wedding is over.” Bella froze. Her bouquet slipped from her fingers and fell to the floor. Everything around her blurred. Her dreams. Her love. Her dignity. All shattered in a single moment. The guests began to whisper louder, some even laughing quietly. No one stood up for her. No one defended her. She was completely alone. Bella took a shaky step forward. “Alexander… please… don’t do this…” But he had already turned his back on her. Without another word, he walked away. Just like that. Leaving her standing at the altar. Broken. Humiliated. Abandoned. Tears streamed down her face as the reality sank in. This was the end. Or so everyone thought. Because what no one knew… Was that Bella Carter was already carrying Alexander Knight’s child. And five years later— When she returned stronger, richer, and untouchable— Alexander Knight would regret the day he rejected her.
