Two weeks is all it took for my world to fall apart Mom left without a word in the dead of night to who knows where. I had to go live with my dad and that meant moving some place new .A whole 7 hour bus journey just so I could gather my thoughts .And there I was boxes in hand moving in to a man who's house I had left 4 years ago .We weren't close I wondered why he even let me stay with him?Mayville someplace I never thought I would come back to not in a million years .I carried boxes up to the door and rang the bell.Of course he wasn't home 😒 , so I sat down and scrolled on my phone hours flew by and I heard it a faint but audible sound Jake . I knew him from child hood never talked to the guy cause I didn't like him but well I needed to find my father .That word father stung in my mouth like broken glass .I dragged my body over and politely greeted him .Well hi Jake I was wondering if u saw my dad by any chance.Like yeah after 4 years that's all I say , but who is to judge I never wanted this. And he stared at me ,the same way I would have if someone I saw 4 years ago just casually came to ask a question like we saw each other yesterday. He looked me dead 💀 in the eye and said "are you seriously asking me where your father is", and he tilted his head .Just then my face shifted as if that wasn't what I asked .But I kept the smile to save face ,I did not wanna have anything to do with this guy .He was the kinda trouble you wouldn't wanna have around in a small town .I thanked him and left my face a bitter frown .And my side eyes weren't helping the situation .Luckily when I got home my father had just arrived, he had put my stuff in the house and laid There on the couch waiting for me .As I saw him my face shifted as a smile crept onto my face forced but there .Hi dad I said with a faint but audible voice .It's nice to see you again .He looked at me the same way you look at a mistake. That didn't sit right with me but I had to keep my cool.I needed a place to stay and he just needed someone to cook and clean .I went to my room , and let out a sigh of relief finally. The day came to and end , not quite as planned but it did come to and end
