Leo hadn’t released me since we got inside the SUV. I was either on his lap, he was holding my hand, or he had his hand on my thigh. I could sense his concern and certainly didn’t blame him. His siblings and his family were everything to him.
“Do you have your vest on?” Leo asked Samuel through the earpiece as he squeezed my thigh.
“Yes, Leo. I told you that about ten minutes ago when you asked.” Samuel replied before exhaling loudly. “We will be fine bro.”
“Okay.” Leo replied as I cupped his face.
“We will always have your back, baby.” I said as he leaned forward, kissing the tip of my nose.
“I know, leonessa. I know.” He mumbled, closing his eyes before the car came to a stop.
