A Luna Betrayed

Rider's Proposal

"Alisa, I need you!" Rider says in my ear as we walk along the streets to our favorite restaurant near school.

I pulled away from him, looked him in the eyes and told him "I told you not until we were mated in the ceremony. Don't make me have to repeat myself about this, it makes me feel that all you want is s*x and not me."

"Babe, I love you and want to be with you. Why is that wrong? We are mates after all?"

He gave me his most charming smile, that one that used to make me get weak in the knees, but it does not have the same effect on me now. Is our bond broken now? The moongoddess did say that things would be different, since he broke his wow to me and I came back in time. I am not the same person that I was in this time. Well, Sansa, that is what I think it is.

Sansa: " Yes, that is possible. We are still the same as we were but not the same as we were before."

Oh Moongoddess, this is giving me a headache.

I hope that she visits me soon. I have lots of questions for her. Sansa agrees.

"Rider, let's just have a nice dinner." I walked faster and he joined me in a brisk walk to the entrance to the restaurant. The smell is amazing, steaks sizzling, the grill going and the fresh herbs and spices that they use just uplift you when you walk in. "Smells amazing in here tonight".

I perked up a bit from my melancholy thinking earlier. Dinner is probably what i need right now.

Rider escorts me to our usual table and we sit down. Our waiter, Lyle, brought us our water with lemons. "What would you like for dinner today? We have, of course, the grilled porterhouse, sirloin, and Ribeyes as our main entrees tonight. We also have salmon and Sea Bass, our fresh vegetables tonight are roasted carrots with herbs, rosemary potatoes, sweet potato slices, and green beans with almonds. We also have a fresh salad with garden veggies."

" I will have porterhouse steak medium rare, a fish course of salmon, and sweet potato slices and green beans. Please also bring us a nice merlot. " I was extremely ravenous tonight.

"Yum. babe that sounds great, but I would like the roasted carrots and rosemary potatoes. We can share a salad too." Rider and I always ordered different sides so we could share them at dinner. It was one of the romantic things he always did.

Lyle hurries off and returns with a green salad with tomatoes, cucumber, olives, dried cranberries. He sets up two salad plates and silverware for each of us, places the fresh warm bread basket in the center of the table, he brings the decanter of wine and pours for each of us and then leaves the decanter in the center. We serve ourselves a salad and get our bread while it is warm so the butter melts . so good. We eat our salads quietly. I don't know what he is thinking, but I am thinking of when he proposed to me here in this restaurant at the same table, even,

****proposal time***

Rider was so attentive at dinner that night he proposed, and when we were at dinner he always tried to feed me from his plate, try this babe, try that too, he would say as he fed me a bite here and there, "Is it good babe, would you like more?" he asks suggestively.

I was very happy that night. Things were going well for us and we were always together and planning outings and dinner plans.

I got Sansa on my 18th Birthday that night even. We met that day in the registrars office and we were out on our third date that night. Sansa was slow to make her appearance. "Hi Alisa, I am here with you now from the moongoddess, my name is Sansa. "

I'm surprised to hear her in my mind.

"MATE" she says in my head, I reply yes to her in my mind, " HE is HOT!" Sansa is ready to pounce on him while I am trying to remain calm.

We finish eating dinner as we smile at each other and sip our wine. Lyle the waiter brought over a petit four cake covered in chocolate icing, with red roses decorating the top of the pretty cake. I looked up at Rider. He says " That is all for you babe."

I picked up the tiny cake and took a small bite and my teeth hit something hard . I pulled the tiny cake away to see a ring barely showing. I hit the edge with my teeth as I bit down into the decadent chocolate treat.

"Babe, will you marry me? Rider is kneeling by me and he takes my hand in his "I love you and want you in every possible way forever. I want you to be my Luna and Mate. Please say you will be mine, Alisa." His eyes pleading with me to accept him and his proposal.

I nod yes and then say softly "Yes I will be your Luna and Mate, Rider"-He puts the chocolate-covered ring in his mouth and cleans it and slides the ring on my finger, his lips kiss the top of my hand and he pulls me up with him as he kisses me softly. He deepens the kiss and slides his tongue in my mouth and he tastes of chocolate cake. It made my head swim as the sensations he says softly close to my ear," You made me so happy, Alisa. I want us to be together always", he kisses my ear, taking the lobe in his mouth and sucking on it softly, then kisses my neck and my shoulder. Kissing the place he will mark me as mate.

Oh, the memory was so fresh in my mind of that night.

***back to dinner****

We were engaged for the whole time that I was at university. Up to this night at dinner, we were still engaged, but everything was so different in the way of feelings. I don't know if i can go through with marriage with him. He smiles his smile, and love seems to shine from his eyes at me, but I just feel hollow now.

But this is the second time around for me. It was going to be different. I was not going to just give in to him, especially now that I knew he was a liar. He lied about where he was to me and about Diana. What else did he not tell me? Was I really that blind to never notice these things due to the mate bond? How many times has he been with Diana? He was always on the training field or so he said he was. My trust is lost as he has not been faithful to the matebond and the life we agreed upon when we said our vows the first time. I know it has not happened yet in this life, but I remember my previous life and I swore that I would not be disrespected by anyone this time around. Is it fair for me to act this way? " Yes" Sansa says to me in my mind. "I really am not feeling a mate bond with him either now."

How is it possible that you don't feel that Sansa? It is weird that he feels the bond but we don't?
