A Luna Betrayed

Prologue Alisa, Luna of the Crimson Moon pack for 6 years, feel like there is something amiss lately in her relationship with her mate, Rider, Alpha of the Crimson Moon Pack. They were always passionate with each other at the beginning of their marriage and for the few years after, as they both wanted to have children. Rider is frustrated that Alisa has not conceived a baby yet. Alisa is worried that she will never become pregnant with Rider’s child. She is concerned about it, but the pack doctor says she is in perfect health. Alisa was a virgin bride before she married Rider, and he introduced her to a world of pleasure, and some pain. He was so romantic back then. Six years later, he seems to not spend as much time doing those little things we used to do together. Lunch dates, none, dinners, none. I take a drive out to the Green Bay Pack house. I tried to stay positive. Maybe he just had to deal with something that Chad did? He never really gave Diana attention to her knowledge, to suspect him cheating. But, all this time away is making Alisa uneasy. Well, up until now, when she caught him in a lie today. As I pull into the driveway of the Green Bay Pack house, I see his car parked by a red corvette. Diana's car is there. A car she had gotten for her graduation. I see her vanity plate Diana#1. I parked my car near Rider's car. My heart is racing, as I fear that he has betrayed me, and our mate bond. The feeling getting more intense the closer I get to the house. She was always fighting with her academically and socially, and now dealing with her interference in my marriage, was just beyond me. "OK, meet me at the park at 9pm, at the swings we used to sit on." Diana hung up, leaving me hearing the dial tone in my ears. "Well, that is strange, why would she want to meet her there of all places.” I mumbled to myself. “We haven't been there for decades, since we were small children”- the park is nearby, so I decide to just walk, to clear my head as I think about what I am going to say to Diana, and wonders how she will respond to questions about what is going on with Rider. Alisa is lost in thought, as she nears the park entrance. Headlights draw ever nearer to her, and she looks up and sees Diana in the driver's seat of her red corvette, and before she can get out of the way. “Look out!” Sansa yells, as the corvette speeds up and collides into Alisa. A little too late. The car careened into my body, knocked me down and then crushed me underneath it, my body still under the car. Diana gets out of the car, she howls a victory cry, an evil smirk on her face, as she spits at me. "I won now, you cunt. I have Rider, and I will take everything that you ever had. The car thumps over me, as it clears the rest of my battered blood covered body, and speeds off to my house where Rider is waiting for Diana. I hears these words, the rage growing at the betrayal of an old friend, who lured me into a place of their childhood, under false pretenses, and kills me in cold blood. "Moon Goddess please, I beg you to hear me and let me avenge this wrong! Let me live." I whispers as my last breath leaves my body. … I see a glow and see the Moon Goddess leaning over my mangled body. I think "What is happening? Am I dead?" The Moon Goddess lays her hands on me and the horrid pain ebbs away out of my body. I feel my body tingle as the goddess blesses my body with new life. "Yes Alisa. This body is dying. I can heal you, if you truly want to return. You were not really meant to be with Rider." "What? He was my mate." I felt a bond with him, I loved him. I asked, confused that the goddess would say this to me. This was a mate bond, that I had with Rider. It was, wasn't it? I wonder now, was it just love on my part, like a chosen mate? My mother brought peace to the Yellowstone and Colorado packs and many of the eastern appalachin packs. She was a great ambassador of Peace. She didn't feel Rider was the one for me either, but she said if it was the mate bond, then it should be so. I think about my relationship with Rider in college. We were in the new relationship phase as we started dating last year in college. He was an amazing athlete. He had a chiseled body, that was well muscled and he moved gracefully with alpha power. I was studying most of the time, but I did go to the games and dances that the college and the sorority held. I was president of the Luna House on campus. So I had to go to these functions, as my mother was also president of the sorority when she went to school, I also had to do the social aspects of the pack life at college. I think back to this day, when I was in college and, yep, there is a football game today at 6pm. I see it written on my calendar, with Rider and a heart around his name. I lay down on my bed, and thought more about what happened on that day. My headache forces me to put my arm over my eyes, and I try to relax and think about what else has happened, before I go start my new life and try to make the choice that will fulfill my destiny. I rub lavender oil on my temples to help calm me down, so I can try to correct my destiny, after the migraine goes away. I close my eyes and drift into sleep. "ALISA, wake up!" Loud banging on the door wakes me up from my nap- I stumble out of bed and open the door to find Diana standing there. I resist the urge to rip out her throat just now. "What are you doing here? I asked, calmly taking a deep breath. I smell her perfume. It assaulted my nose. It's Obsession, which really now suits her, now that I know what her true intentions are. "Its almost game time, we need to get there. Why the heck, are you not dressed yet?" Diana pushes her way in and drags me to my closet. She pulls out a black top with a deep V and some black shorts, and black heels. "These should do, it is warm out today!" I get dressed, put on my makeup and spray my perfume on, its Allure, a nice light scent that I love to wear. I look into the mirror, and, happy with how I looked, I turn to face Diana, who eyes me up and down and says " Let's go." Still a bit groggy, and not sure what I should do, I followed her to the football stadium, we got some sodas and snacks, and headed to the sorority box seats. There were a few people already in our box. I greet my sorority sisters and we kiss each other on the cheeks and take our seats, as we wait for the game to begin. I excused myself to head to the bathroom. I was surprised when hands grabbed my waist, and pulled me back against a hard muscular chest, and heard Rider whisper in my ear, "Babe, you are gorgeous! The band starts to play in the center of the field, and he lets me go and kisses my forehead. "Got to get to the field babe, see you after the game!" He releases me and runs off to the field to get his warm up before the game starts. "Go get 'em, Rider!" I yelled out to him. He turned to wave and headed to the line up. I headed to the box seats. I notice Diana has her eyes glued to Rider, as he warms up on the football field. The other girls were looking at him also, but they oodled all the players, their eyes roaming over all the guys, now that they were on the field.
