CHAPTER NINE
“I just turned eighteen and am already facing death. I can’t believe this is happening. I wanted all these years for this time to be special between us and maybe I could have died on my eighteenth birthday.”
She raised her head and looked at Alex.
“I am going to die. Our love must be forever. Promise me you are never going to leave me?” Requested Evelina.
There was silence for a while.

He paused. He hugged her and kissed her on the lips and forehead.
“Remember when we were kids lying in the flower gardens? I told you that for the love to be forever one of us must love the other even more for this to be true.”
He paused as she nodded.
“Initially but then you agree that it has to be equal.”
