CHAPTER THREE "How I do it. Is not important. I have my reasons to do it this way. Okay? You just worry about getting your results only. Okay?" "But I don't want people to think that we are all bunches of lunatics?" "You worry about getting your results only. Okay?” She paused. “So, what is that you need doing?" Marson walked to the office cabinet and retrieved a cigar box. He took one and rolled it between his fingers. "You worry about my tactics when it is you who should be worrying about yourself. Who on earth still smokes cigars? Everyone has gone electrical." "I need this so much that even the electrical cigars won't calm me down. I want this like yesterday." Marson puffed the cigar. “Don’t worry about all that. It is my business. You mind your business.” "Okay, I see. Then leave this with me." Paige danced twisting and turning before clapping her hands and shaking her waist. Then slowly going down as she moved her waist clockwise. Now getting down spreading her legs apart bending her knees shaking her head to the sides. Then in what seems like the reverse mood started getting up, shaking, and moving her booty before spinning a revolution. Then started clapping her hands. "Why not join the dancing group or the circus for that matter? And stop wasting my time," roared Marson. "This is how it’s done. Check the way I go down," said Paige. She clapped her hands and started dancing again just shaking her booty going down slowly. Now with one leg fixed on one place she moved the other leg clockwise, turning around until she was back at the position she was before. She started shaking her head to the sides, approaching Marson as he looked at her. She spanned a revolution and advanced. "What do you think you are doing?" Instantly she lurched forward and grabbed his throat, and a dagger on her elbow left a cut on Marson's chest. That a blood patch instantly developed on his white shirt. "Watch it! What do you think you are doing?" Roared Marson. "Element of surprise. I bet you didn't see it coming?" Marson quickly reached for his pocket and took out a handkerchief and started wiping off the blood. "Damn it! Woman. I didn’t say actually stab me." She giggled. "What is so funny?" She walked to the window and started dancing. "Stop it!" "The blade has acting fast-snake’s-poison." "What?" She quickly raised a small bottle of syrup held between her fingers. "I got the antidote! But it will cost you and hurry time is money. The more you delay, the more you leave things to chance." "What? Tell me you are joking?" "Not bluffing. I was dancing, but not joking. This poison turns your muscles to jelly in minutes. So powerful it will kill a thousand men in minutes. I want half the value of the share." "Bloody hell! You only work on a five percent commission. So, what is this talk about forty percent?" "The more you delay, the harder it will be. Once the poison is in your bloodstream that will be it. Touch the wound now and see your flesh falling to the ground." Marson looked at Paige with evil eyes and ripped off his shirt, tearing off all the buttons. A loud roar of rage startled everyone. Instantly there was a knock on the door and before he answered the door, his bodyguard entered pointing the gun. "The antidote now, or I will ask him to shoot you." Paige quickly threw the small bottle of the antidote syrup in her mouth. "I will simply break it in my mouth and swallow it. Tell him to go out and lock the door. I said I want forty percent. Yes or no?" Asked Paige, moving the small bottle from side to side in her mouth. The guard instantly left and closed the door. Marson poked the wound and roared with fear and rage as the wound extended. "Okay, forty percent but I want all dead, especially this catalyst." Paige quickly turned a bag on her waist around and retrieved some instruments and quickly injected the syrup at the wound. "What snake was it? Cobra?" Asked Marson. "Why do you say cobra?" "From the dancing." She laughed. "Dancing snakes rarely attack. You can actually tame a snake that dances. A cobra for example. This is just to distract you before I attack. After all, I am dealing with very suspicious people. If they are to see me dressed like a militia, then they are going to freak out." "Still, you haven’t answered me what snake it was?" Asked Marson. She stopped at the door and looked back. "A rare see-through snake that is like a glass with all insides shining to distract its enemy. It has seven heads and each with a different poison scheme to another head. Hence the deadliest poison snake ever." "It better work or else you are a dead meat!" Roared Marson. She smiled and lay on the floor dancing, wriggling like a snake. Marson shook his head in disbelief. "What kind of assassins we got in this woman. Everything seems like a joke." "It isn’t a joke. Look, I nearly killed you without you even punching me not even once." Marson roared. She opened the door to go. She left but peeped back in. "What do you still want?" "I said the snake has seven different heads." "So?" "I only managed to get the antidote for the five heads only," "Hell no!" Marson got his gun and aimed at her. "I have the antidote at home. But the truth is that this is also for my guarantee. I do the job and come back to you. In case you decide to send your men to do me. Then you will have shot yourself also in the foot. Only myself know which of the seven heads of snake I used and the antidote for the remaining two which you will need. You have forty-eight hours before the other two poisons start working." Marson roared and aimed at her as she started dancing. She left but returned instantly and opened the door. "What?" "The notes?" Marson opened the drawer and threw the small diary at her and as she was about to dance he pointed the gun at her and waved it, telling her to go out. She stood behind his door and started reading it. "To prepare for the restoration of the kingdom of darkness, the power that was divided at the beginning must be consolidated into one. All those initially entrusted with secrets and roles to help preserve the gold scriptures will have done what they are expected to do and will no longer be needed. There is a buy-out clause that shifts the powers and responsibility to the one to come. But this is done at a ceremony," said Paige. She read the diary. "What ceremony?" She looked lost. She quickly opened the door. "What ceremony?" She looked at Marson. "If there was to be a ceremony, why would I need you then?" "So how do you get the powers then?" Marson raised his gun at her and aimed and imitated shooting her. "You thought you were going to dance them to death, right? Please? What kind of assassin are you? Get out of my office and bring the antidote tomorrow!" She stood at the door reading the notes. "Do the catalyst first. That speeds up everything? Catch my drift?" The door closed. Miles away. Bogdan opened the studio door and saw David and Carolina talking. “I have intercepted a conversation I think is crucial. Someone has been assigned to prepare for the consolidation of power to prepare for the restoration of the kingdom of darkness." "They will try to consolidate all power to the leader now that they have discovered him," said Carolina. "They will go after all the keys and kill all," said David. Bogdan looked lost. "What is that look?" Asked David. "I don't think they are going after all the keys. It seemed he suggested only going after the catalyst," said Bogdan. "The catalyst? But I don't get it. I thought Hudson was killing all the keys in preparation for the restoration of the kingdom of darkness?" Said, David. "I think if I heard correctly Hudson was doing it the hard and long way," he said. "Meaning?" "The catalyst is the answer. If you get rid of the catalyst that would shift all powers to the leader somehow?" Said Bogdan. "But how come they all have different powers and the catalyst can't be any of them?" Asked Carolina. "Let us assume Stacey was alive would her death shift all the powers to the leader?" Asked David. "Unless the catalyst is also the last seal," said David. "Evelina!" They all shouted at the same time. "Makes sense in that as the only true seal she is the only seal that can be a two-in-one. A double seal in that it can be itself and any of the twenty-three seals. So, killing this seal means getting rid of all and that can transfer the powers fast to the Devil-is -I." "Could this be the main reason why they targeted Evelina in the first place?" Asked Carolina. "That makes sense. Hudson knew this. After his killing spree did not yield any results. I think he realized that Evelina was the answer. To cover his back, he linked her to the anointment of the President's nephew, knowing that the President would do anything for his nephew to be a member of the circle of trust. Killing two birds with one stone. He knew that would be the easiest way to transfer all powers to himself," explained Bogdan. "That makes sense." They all admitted. "Someone must go and protect her," requested David. Bogdan volunteered. "I can go while we are waiting for the next phase," he said. "We must protect her. Okay, she might delay the majority stage by her death but will hand Marson all the powers on a plate. Once he has all the powers, majority or not he will unleash hell." Andrew instantly entered. "What is new?" "Someone has been assigned to kill Evelina!" "Anyone who wants her dead is on our side, right? I believe she is bad news? Her death can stop the majority. Right? Please tell me I am correct? Someone? David? Carolina? Bogdan?" "Yes. Just a stalling tactic, but on the other hand it will give the Devil-Is-I all the powers to initiate the restoration of the kingdom of darkness." "What? I can't believe it is a booby-trap on its own. Every move we make it triggers a worse situation for us. So, if we protect her that brings the majority faster but denies the Devil-Is-I from fully getting all his powers. If you know what I mean. That is into the real monster. What is worse?" They all looked at each other. "Once he has all the powers, even in the first phase. He can trigger the end of the days by triggering a devil's ghost war," said David. "Meaning?" "Unstoppable! Once he has all the powers, he unleashes hell. The very thing they tried to do at the beginning. Hence the manhunt for Evelina. If they had succeeded, they would have got all the powers. Now they would simply be attacking us. That would have triggered total obliteration from the first stage. Imagine up to now they haven’t even triggered total obliteration simply because he lacks powers," said Carolina. "So, was Keaton wrong?" Asked Andrew. "Honestly, I don't know. I think what has been happening is that at every point in time. These keys can be a benefit to us and at other times a threat to our existence. At the time of Keaton; she might have been a threat to us. So, he might have been right then. But with the situation we are in, consolidation of power into one is the least we want. Once power is consolidated, no one on earth will not listen to him. His aim and goal would be to fully restore the kingdom of darkness. That means the obliteration of all opposition as the first thing to do." "Just yesterday we agreed Evelina is the answer. You all agreed her death was the only solution to delay the majority, so what changed today?" Asked Andrew. "Bogdan intercepted a message," said Carolina. "By the way, I don't know how, but this woman is blackmailing Marson as well," said Bogdan. "Do you know her name?" Asked David. Bogdan listened again to the recording. "Paige!" Shouted Bogdan.
