Brea moved fast. As the man stepped out, she braced herself for a fight. His eyes were wild, his clothes stained with something dark, and his arms twisted unnaturally. He had been wounded, and now he was something far more dangerous. Before he could move, Brea had her dagger out, the cold steel gleaming in the dim light. With a quick motion, she struck, and the man fell with a pained scream, blood spilling from the gaping wound in his eyes. He was gone, his body crumpling in a heap on the floor. Her hands were coated in his blood, but she didn't flinch. She washed off the blade and her hands quickly, her heart pounding. The train started to jostle as it hit a rough patch of track.
