The old television flickered slightly as Brea adjusted the volume, the static on the screen making the news anchor's voice sound muffled at times. She sat on the edge of the couch, her posture rigid, eyes locked on the screen. Sitting on the floor with his puzzle pieces scattered around him, Milo barely noticed the broadcast, focusing entirely on the task before him.
