#Dreame Writing Marathon--Love Story Contest. That night when 7 years old Damon escaped from his Kidnappers he taught he was saved. flashbacks. He came In to give give me dinner. I was sitting on a chair with my hands tied on both hands of the chair. He kept the plate with bread and sauce on the wooden table by the door. He walked up to me and loosed the ropes tied around both of my hands. As I was about to pick my plate up, I heard gunshots. The glass window by my left shattered on the ground. The shrads piercing my feet. 2 gunshots where fired. He pulled out his pistil from his back pocket and walked out through the door he came In through. I quickly loosed the knot of the rope tied round my ankles and ran out through the only door In the room. I saw 2 other men with the guy who brings my meals exchanging bullets with the rival gang who came for the attack. I sneaked to the back of this room which was supposed to be a living room for a normal house and climbed out the window. Damon taught he would have a better life just like It used to be. Little did he know how wrong he was. How this was just the beginning of his end, Damon's end. The first and only place I could think of running to was 'home' and home I ran off to. When I got to the gate, I pushed It and walked It. It felt odd and different. The light bulbs weren't switched on just like how It was on every other night. The house was quiet and felt empty. I walked to the front door and knocked gently. I was happy to finally be home. There was no answer. I stood on my toes trying to touch the switch to ring the doorbell but I couldn't reach up to It. So I walked to the window of my mother's room. 'Soon enough dear, we'll leave this place and go somewhere we'll be happier' mom said to me smiling. 'but mum I'm still happy here and If we leave, what are we going to do about the birds?' Damon spoke. 'We'll go where you'll make more friends' she then looked out the window 'and we'll release the birds and let them fly away' her eye widened and her smile broadened. 'Well that would do' I said with a grin. The sound of her laughter filled the room and I joined In. I remembered that was the last conversation I had with my mother before I was taken. I walked up to the roof top and looked In the bird cage. They were all gone. Just then, 2 cars parked by the gate. 6 men all dressed In black suits walked out of the car and walked Into the compound. Three walked to the left side of the house, three to the right and the last man walked towards the front door. I hid In a corner between the cage and the wall. The man by the front door pushed It but It didn't open. The other 6 men met the man by the door who they addressed as 'Boss' and told him that nobody was home. 'one of you wait behind he's surley going to come here' he told the 6 of them. The boss and 5 other men walked out, sat In the cars and drove off. end of flashbacks "Valentino" "Valentino!" "Valentino!" I was shaked lighty. "Where are you lost again Son? I've looked for you all over the mansion" Grandma spoke drawing me out of my thoughts. "I called out to you but you didn't seem to hear It" She smiled at me and took a bite from the fresh apple In her hand. "No grandma, I-I was just looking through some files when I..." "I didn't mean to Ignore you It's just tha-" I looked at her but she seemed excited about something... "What's getting you excited grandma?" "Don't even take any guesses. I'd tell you". " Let's talk only about Important things now." I raised a brow at her In a questionable manner. She was definitely up to something. She pulled me to the couch by her side and we sat. "Important things Like what Love?" I bent my head down to her hand and took a bite from her apple to tease her actually but she didn't try pulling her hand away or hitting me on the head. That's so unusual. "Like your wedding" she said smiling beaming with joy like It was the most Interesting subject she had ever spoken on. I think my wedding was actually one of the most Interesting subject for her. If not the one. Well I'd been staring at her unknowingly and I'm sure that with the way I was staring at her, she'd feel like she definitely had grown another head.
