Vanessa's pov

I went Into my room and shut the door behind me. I walked straight to my bed and just let myself fall on It. I just couldn't get that conversation out of my head. I really needed to see Ken.

She spoke about my Marriage. Marriage!!...

I pulled out my chain from the neck of my dress and held It's pendant. I gently caressed It with my fingers while looking up to the ceiling.

She unclasp It, pulled out the ring,Slid It on her finger and stared at her hands.

How do I tell you grandma that I'm engaged already with the man I love.

Valentino s pov

"Grandma I've already rejected your Idea. As usual I'm saying No" I said for the hundreth time this evening.

"but you still haven't given me a definite reason why you wouldn't consider her" she said for the how manith time God knows.

"Grandma, you barely know her"

"You have the best chance to"

"Does she even know about this?"I asked frustrated.

"Of course she does. We talked about this" She replied with a little smile. Seems Vanessa didn't want to.

Did she really plan on rejecting me? well that's Impossible. She couldn't say no to someone like me.

*flashback*

"Vanessa, come here I need you to try this for me" grandma said to me.

"Grandma, why are you still going making things like this at your age?" I asked gesturing to the 3 types of cakkes she baked earlier today.

"To add to the mood of the event that'll soon take place" she said happily.

"Grandma you shouldn't eat this nomatter what"

"I know dear, I can always go with a sugarless cake. That's what It Is"

"That's the best grandma, but may I know the reason for this celebration and your unending happiness?"

"I'd be a grandma soon Vanessa "

"o congrats grandma Kim's okay right "

"yh she Is but this Isn't with Kim. It's with T".

"Congratulations grandma"

"Congratulations to you too you'd also be a mother' wait! what!?

"I have a proposal for you Vanessa"

"A-a-a"

"A wedding proposal for you on behalf of T"

"fo-o-or?" Ken never mentioned this part even once ever since he told me about this mission.

I was here to gather Information from his nest and not build a new nest with him.

"Grandma I've got something to do" and with that, I got up, walked up the stairs and headed for my room.

Valentino s pov

Why would grandma want to get me married to someone she barely knows?

When grandma Insisted on letting her live here I knew she was up to something but who thought It would be this big. Either way Grandma made this a bit easier for me. I needed to find out what Vanessa was hiding and maybe her approach to this Issue could help.

'Ring Ring' my phone rang on the table. I walked over to It and recieved the call. The caller was Angre.

"Boss, I just found out that Kim has no Idea about the device we found yesterday"

"She doesn't even know how to use It or even what It Is"

"and how did you find out" I've been watching her all day. I kept this where she could try to access It to maybe relay a message to he boss but she did nothing"

"she couldn't even figure out what It was"

"she taught grandma surprised her with a new makeup kit"

"are you very sure that she wasn't pretending?"

"I'm a 100% sure Boss, She wasn't pretending"

"She Is really clueless about the device".

"Thank you Angre"

"Bye Boss"

He kept back his phone and walked Into his closet. He took of all his clothes and entered back Into his room with only a towel tied around his waist.

He walked Into his bathroom and turned on the shower.

Just as he got In, Vanessa found her cue to get Into his room.

She wasn't looking for something In particular but just anything that could help her.

She tried being really quiet, quiet and careful enough not destroy or put anything out of It's original place so that he wouldn't know anything happened there.

There was nothing. Nothing useful enough for me. Maybe If I-. The sound of the water pouring to the ground had stopped. He was coming out.

I had to leave. I straigned out all areas Incase I had caused a change unintentionally and quicky and quietly left the room.

I got out of the bathroom only after drying my body. I put on my night wear and just ran my hand through my half dried hair. A long day this was in a mansion of secrets.

There was a knock on my door.

"Vanessa just exited from here. You two have grown close" she said.

"Why'd you come here?"

"To see you of course or shouldn't I have?" she replied

"I need to go to bed early tonight" I said

"Then trap the rat In her hole"

"I'd handle It on my own"

"Now leave"

"Something's really off. I know you don't believe Kim did that."

"She could be selfish but not selfish enough to sell off her own brother right"

"She could actually do anything"

"Ouch! That one hurt there"

What did she come to find In here anyway? She was also In my other study and she seemed to know April.

What If she worked with those who had April?

But then she wouldn't be here looking for God knows what.

She was here for another reason. A reason I had to find out. So I have to play along and not give her a hint that I suspect her even If marriage would be my only option to keep her near me I wouldn't mind.

That will be a small sacrifice to pay to get what I want.

"Brother... don't be mad anymore"
