Rogues

Chapter 9

Three hours earlier, a ticking sound of a metal woke Bella up while she slept in Zedek's arms, she quietly followed the sound until she got to the guest room.

"It took you two hours" Andrew said seated on his chair sucking his lips,

"What do you want" she asked, if she knew that it was him, she wouldn't have bothered standing up, remaining peacefully in the arms of her mate.

"Have a seat" he gestured pointing at a chair in front of him. Bella was hesitant but she eventually sat down, they was something about the two brothers that seemed the same, they could made orders in the most coldest of ways. Andrew's gaze was fixed on her, he could smell Zedek all over her and he smirked.

"I guess you already know that Zedek is my brother" he began, he became quiet for a bit before he continued.

"Zedek was meant to be the Alpha of the pack while I would be his beta but he took the pack as a joke not caring about anything concerning the pack"

"But he has lead the rogues in a magnificent way, no one has ever done that before" Bella chipped in, it was true that Rogues were bloodlusting animals who had no conscience and their sole desire was just to kill, for them to be submissive to one master was unheard of.

"That's because he was deprived of his pack which made him want to show that he could be a leader" Andrew replied in a convincing and cold tone.

"But"

"You are missing the point here Bella, Zedek still left his rogues to be with you, a leader would never do that, and you want to know why. Because he wasn't born to be a leader" Andrew stood up leaning on the wall with his hands in his pocket.

"You being with Zedek is harmful, he would make you prioritize him first before your pack. Has he ever been helpful to this pack in anyway and what are the plans he has for the pack" he asked.

Bella stuttered not sure of what to say, Andrew kept making her speechless with his words that she couldn't see if he was wrong or right.

"Shouldn't your pack be the best in the East, what do you think others will say when your mate is a Rogue who had killed and destroyed various pack, no one would want to form and alliance with you" He said matter of factly,

"I can already see that you are a strong woman and would do anything to make your pack prosper but right now you are going through the wrong path" he added.

"You don't need to paint him bad like that, I am trying to solve everything" she lashed back, though he was right she never like the way he talked about her mate.

"I am not saying anything bad, I am only telling you the truth" He moved closer to her holding her hands in his.

"You are a beautiful woman who needs to shine, don't let a mate bond pull you down to the mud"

Bella thought about it back in her office contemplating her options which weren't even much,

"You are not about to listen to what he said, he is trying to tarnish our mate" Gold chimed in, she heard everything Andrew said and she was furious about it.

"What do you think, some of what he said is right. No one would want to be in alliance with a Rogue or Mass murderer" Bella fretted out her worries.

"And so what, our mate is much stronger than the packs that you are hassling about" Gold replied, She loved Fenrir so much, she could already tell that he was a powerful Alpha rather than a Rogue.

"So what if we get attacked by a much powerful pack stronger than Zedek, his rogues have already deserted him, who would then come to our aid" Bella panicked, her fears of being alone against a powerful opponent was what drove her to sell herself to the Peak moon pack in the first place.

"You are just being stupid and unreasonable but don't you dare reject our mate" Gold warned and blocked herself from Bella. Up until now, Bella still couldn't see how much Zedek loved them, she was so blinded by power that her heart couldn't give way to the blessing that had been added to them. Zedek was strong and powerful, above all he was the most feared wolf in all land, it wasn't about other packs fighting for them, it was about them being scared of him and bowing to his every command but Bella never saw it as Gold did.

Bella was troubled as her thought kept slipping in and out about Zedek, she was so confused on what to do, she loved him so much to not want to reject him but she also needed her pack to be in safe hands.

"What would she gain if she accepted Zedek" she thought.

She listed her advantages and disadvantages but the disadvantages got bigger.

The moon was slowly fading away, she looked out the window watching the pack from her office, this was her father's Legacy and sweat, she couldn't let it go down the drain.

One thing was certain, Andrew had more to offer than Zedek, she sighed deeply before walking toward his room.

She had to make a decision on what to do,

She thought about how hurtful it would be for Zedek and also for her , but her pack comes first, that was what she was taught to do. Then again Zedek was a rogue which meant he was strong and could handle a rejection. She couldn't be tied to him and live a life that she might regret.

When she got to his room, she could hear him whisper but she didn't know what he was saying, tapping her chest once she opened the door and met his beautiful gaze on her.

(Present time)

"Bella what are you talking about, did I do something wrong?" He asked walking towards her, his heart clenched as if he was pierced with a thousand arrows, so this was what rejection felt like, he knew how strong he was but yet he couldn't handle it, her rejection was indeed a surprise.

"You heard me right, I can't be mated to a rogue" she lashed back at him breaking him much more, he hadn't yet recovered from her rejection.

"Is that the reason or my brother must have gotten to you too" he asked,Andrew had to be a reason why she found the courage to reject him, days ago she was shy and would blush whenever they were together, she was always meek and submissive to him despite her title.

"This has nothing to do with him" She answered drawing herself away from him, his scent was still intoxicating to her that she couldn't control herself.

"Then why, why would you reject me suddenly" his voice cracked and his eyes were red, he was hurting and so was Fenrir.

His hands tightened into a fist while his nails dug deep into his hand still he couldn't feel the pain.

"Because I don't want you, I don't want to be mated to a Rogue, can't you just accept that" she yelled at the top of her voice and he stepped back, was being a Rogue now an abomination that she would reject him because of that. Not once had she asked him why he became a rogue, she only made her rejection based on her fact.

"So me being your mate doesn't mean anything to you, last night meant nothing to you" he recollected her shivering from his touch and resting beautifully in his arms because that was where he thought she belonged but not anymore.

"I just needed a man to make me warm and you were around, if you weren't then it would have been your brother" She was certain how hurtful it would be if she mentioned anything about his brother, she used it against him so that he can let her go.

Zedek stared at her one more time, the muscles in his face hardened and his eyes were still red.

"I, Zedek accept your rejection" he said and stormed out of there. Walking out he bumped into Beta Deon but didn't mind and continue going.

Bella fell down crying, she had acted tough in front of him so that he won't see her pain and know that this wasn't what she intended to do. If she had shown her vulnerability then he would have persuaded her again into not rejecting him just like he did before.

"You rejected our mate, I would never forgive you for that" Gold warned and blocked herself again, she had warned Bella not to reject their mate but she did it anyways.
