Chapter 1: Haunted by a Little Demon
Chaos! Chaos!
The world is in turmoil, and strange things are descending!
The news is frantically reporting the bizarre circumstances, and the announcer swiftly narrates the situation as the images change,
A strange old man is walking around the city, causing those who see him to bleed from all seven orifices and die on the spot!
A child with no pupils is haunting the place, wandering around in search of its eyes, and those who saw it immediately went blind!
Even more, there are blood-colored hounds preying on humans, meat-chopping butchers casually killing their prey, gorgeous female corpses seducing men...
By the time the news got to this point, the broadcaster had a grave expression, "Please pay attention to your surroundings, everyone. If there is any situation, please protect your life first and then report it promptly.
Ye Sha, after watching the news, sighed heavily and leaned back on the sofa listlessly.
With the onset of the turmoil and the arrival of the bizarre, how could he, a regular person, hope to survive?
He was a fitness trainer with good performance, physically strong and robust, and he had even learned some good boxing skills, but these are all of no use in the face of the peculiar.
After all, what he has to face are demons and monsters. Regardless of how good his physique might be, he is nothing more than a hopping grasshopper in their eyes. His muscle and sinew would probably be prime meat in the eyes of the bizarre.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
Suddenly, a peculiar noise comes from the kitchen. Ye Sha can't help but tense up, quickly tensing all his muscles, standing up and moving slowly, fearful of alerting the potential oddity.
The noise is getting louder and louder, as if something is trying to crawl out from the drain.
Ye Sha thinks about it, gathers his strength from his feet, and makes a run for the door!
Only a fool would face that odd thing! Running is the best solution! The presence in the kitchen seems to be aware of Ye Sha's intentions, with a bang, it breaks down the door and rushes downstairs!
Ye Sha lives on the sixth floor. Although he's in good physical condition, he doesn't dare to descend the stairs too fast. The bizarre creature lets out a high-pitched scream that's extremely harsh to the ears. How could Ye Sha dare to look back? Despite the severe pain in his ears, he runs frantically down the stairs.
"Squirt!"
The sound of the claws entering the flesh sounded before Ye Sha, not knowing what hit him, feels an intense pain in his back. He wasn't able to stand steadily, so he rolls directly down the stairs.
With both arms tightly covering his head, Ye Sha rolls down the stairs completely stunned, but he doesn't hesitate at all, immediately getting back up and clumsily running down.
It really hurts; his back feels like it's on fire, and his hands and legs are swelling from the impact on the hard stairs.
But Ye Sha doesn't dare stop, because stopping would mean death!
It's been three months since these strange things started appearing before the public, and no one yet has heard about anyone surviving under the chase of these peculiar things!
Running might not guarantee survival, but not running certainly mean death!
"Ah!"
The strange thing screams in anger, its speed seemingly increasing due to Ye Sha, its prey's resistance.
"It's so scary!"
In Ye Sha's mind, the scenes from when he fell kept replaying, but his feet didn't stop.
That thing looked very much like a skinny child, but its body was dry and its skin frighteningly wrinkled. Its face was extremely distorted, with a huge bloody mouth full of sharp teeth, and its claws were sharp, an excellent weapon for hunting humans.
He is about to run out of the corridor; Ye Sha is overjoyed. However, before his next steps, his head start to feel dizzy, and the wound on his back torn by the ghost claw transmits a tingling sensation. Turns out, he's been poisoned!
With the last bit of his strength, Ye Sha pushes open the entrance door to the first floor, but his body involuntarily falls out. The little ghost pounces on him with a scream, opening its mouth to bite the neck of Ye Sha.
Despite his blurry consciousness, Ye Sha's instinct to survive prompts him to protect his vital parts. Decisively, he blocks with his arm, and the little ghost gnashes its teeth on his arm, splattering blood.
"Ah!!!!!"
Ye Sha lets out a horrified scream; his body is gradually losing strength due to the poison. He didn't have the strength to push the little ghost off of him.
"I didn't expect to die this way."
As if he has sensed his impending death, Ye Sha’s mind echoes with a cry of unwillingness.
Just as the little ghost was about to swallow a piece of flesh from Ye Sha's arm and prepare to bite his neck to kill this prey completely and savor the taste.
Suddenly, the clouds in the sky that have been blocking the moonlight disperse, the bright full moon hangs in the sky, and a beam of moonlight shone through the glass onto Ye Sha, who was lying on the ground waiting for death!
Even the little ghost felt something was wrong, it raised its head to look at the night sky through the glass.
All of a sudden, it was gripped by a large, furry hand around its neck, suspending it in mid-air.
The little ghost started to struggle in fear, but found that its sharp claws could not harm the large hand.
The previously doomed Ye Sha on the ground was not there; instead, there was a terrifying and ferocious werewolf. It was covered in shiny black fur, tall and robust, with scary muscular wolf claws and arms, extremely terrifying. Above the wolf head, the green eyes stare at the little ghost fiercely.
"Now it's my turn, damned little ghost!"
The werewolf spoke human language, with a hoarse, deep voice, like the roar of a jungle beast.
The wolf claws slowly exerted force, squeezing the neck of the little ghost, letting it also experience the despair of being on the verge of death.
With the last pinch of the wolf claws, the little ghost no longer had the strength to struggle, its head tilted, and it stopped breathing.
