Chapter Twenty-Nine   Still floating in the air, Shin started to aggressively attack her. “I told you not to be on my way,” Celine whispered as she dodge his attack. “I’ll still be,” Shin answered. Celine strike her magic at him like lightning but his sword was able to cut it. “How…” she asks and stared back at him as she avoided the sword before it could cut her. “Surprise?” Shin responded as he smirk. Celine’s stare became dark because of anger.   ‘He’s wasting my time,’ her mind commented as she took a glimpse of the greenhouse, to her surprise there were people who came out from the exit.   ‘s**t, they’re going to see us!’ her inner self screams inside as she glances back at Shin.   “It seems like your master doesn’t want you to reveal your very true color?” Shin commented. “Shut up,” she replied and snaps her finger. In a glimpse of an eye, their location started to change, they were already at the back of the greenhouse where there were no people around. Her enemy’s laugh echoed the place. “Damn that loyalty of yours,” he whispered enough for her to hear.   Celine without a word started to attack again as she could feel the sting of her injuries from the previous fight. Shin dodge all of her attempts and swung his sword at her. Her hand automatically covered her bleeding right shoulder as she distanced herself from him. “I see that your weapon is a cursed too,” she said panting for air. “I was hoping I could see you in pain. My guess is always right, you are heartless after all,” Shin uttered as he smiled at her. “One more word about me and I’ll make sure to kill you this instant,” she replied. “If you kill me now the fight wouldn’t be fun right?” he answered as he started to attack again.             Inside the greenhouse, Mathew’s heavy breathes, the sweat dripping on his head and his loud heartbeats were not new for him. “Your majesty,” Casis uttered between his breathes. He didn’t respond and just glance at him. “This demon, if we cannot cut or kill it, we have to find a way to cage it or seal it,” Casis continued. “You knew that the only way for us is to cut and kill it, we cannot seal it and this greenhouse is not strong enough to cage it either. As much as possible we have to find its weakness,” Mathew answered. “But your majesty, it looks like it doesn’t have any weak spot?” Nathan commented. His hazel eyes glance back at the demon grinning at them as his lips start to form a smirk and his face darkened in fury. “Everyone has,” he uttered and started to attack again. Casis and Nathan look at each other as they run and attack as well. “Ah! I’m starting to get annoyed!” Allen screamed in irritation forcing himself to get out from the web when he notices Lucas running towards him. “Your majesty,” Lucas uttered and started to cut the web with his sword but it failed. “You can’t cut this using only an ordinary sword. This web is cursed,” Allen said, “Do you have any experience in archery?” he continued. Lucas stared at him confused. “…A little your majesty,” he answered. “That’s fine…take the bow,” Allen commanded. Lucas hurriedly gets the bow and glance back at Allen. “What will I do next your majesty?” he asks. “Take a good distance and aim it at…me,” Allen replied in a serious expression. “I cannot do that, your majesty!” Lucas answered horrified at Allen’s command. “You have to,” he answered back. “But your majesty, if I failed…If I failed you will die,” Lucas responded. “Lucas!” Allen yelled almost losing his patience. Lucas shivered as he stared back at Allen. Who wouldn’t? He annoyed a king, who wouldn’t shiver in fear? “Look around you?! There’s no time to doubt or fear! If I can’t get out from this f*****g web my f*****g friends will die!” Allen yelled at him. He composed himself again and let out a sigh, “Don’t worry, I’m not going to die. That holy weapon is designed for me, it will never kill its owner.” “…I understand your majesty, I apologize for my immature act a while ago,” Lucas replied and took a few steps backward and use the bow. Despite having no arrows, he can feel the air surrounding him as the air gathered around the weapon, and soon, an arrow was formed. Lucas aimed it at Allen and started to question himself if it’s the right thing to do. From the corner of his eyes, he could see Mathew and the others struggling to fight the demon, Lucas could even see a glimpse of Mathew being slammed on the floor and spitting blood.   ‘Damn!’ his mind cursed as he focuses his vision on the target.   “Now!” Allen screamed. Upon hearing his command, Lucas let go of the string and shoot the arrow at him. His heart was pounding fast that he couldn’t break his stare at Allen and the arrow. Everything went slow in Allen’s eyes, as soon as the holy arrows touch the web, it automatically melted, and before the sharp end of the arrow pierce his chest it suddenly disappeared. Allen grinned because of the successful outcome. The truth is, he can’t even confirm by himself if his weapon could kill him or not, the whole idea is just a guess for him.   ‘Well, I guess I’m right,’ his mind commented and eyed Lucas.   “Give me my bow,” he said. Lucas handed him his weapon and bowed his head. “Thank you for trusting me, I assure you I’ll never give you any command like that again,” Allen announced. “Thank you, your majesty!” Lucas answered and bowed his head again. “Now, let’s make this chaos end,” Allen whispered to himself and aimed at the demon. As he shoot and aim at the demon’s pair of heads, his arrows managed to pierce it. “At last!” Nathan cheered and glance at him, “I thought you’ll going to be stuck there for a decade!” he added. “Shut up!” Allen replied and run towards them. Mathew who wipe the blood on his mouth smiled at Allen. “I apologize if I can’t help you back there Allen,” Mathew said. “That’s fine your majesty, your too busy killing this demon after all,” he replied. “It’s not over yet,” Casis announced as the monster regained his consciousness again despite the arrow stuck on its head. “Your majesties, are you okay?” Lucas asks. “As of now, we're all desperate to end this demon’s life, ugh! My back hurts a lot!” Nathan whined. “We're fine for now,” Casis responded while Mathew remained silent and reserving his energy for another attack. Lucas who was behind them took his sword out from its scabbard as he stared at the enemy.   ‘So this is what a demon looks like,’ his mind commented.   “Lucas,” Mathew called. “Yes your majesty?” he responded. “Remember to be alert and whatever happens, prioritize your life. All of you should never put your life in danger!” Mathew announced. “...Yes your majesty!” Lucas answered while the three kings remained silent. “During my attempts, I’ve discovered the demon's weakness,” Mathew whispered. Everyone glance at him with a surprised expression. “Where your majesty?” Nathan asks. “Every time the demon slammed my body on the floor, I saw a gem stuck on its stomach. It glows every time it heals its wounds,” Mathew uttered, “The plan will be, shatter its defense even for a short while and slide below its body and broke that gem,” he added. “Then let me be the one to break it, your majesty,” Casis offered. “No, the one who should do it…is,” Mathew said and eyed the man beside him, “Allen, I want you to destroy it. When destroying it, we only have a couple of minutes, and our weapon’s weight will only slow us down but you have the skills to attack within that given time,” he continued and pats his shoulder. “The rest will fight with me,” Mathew announced. “Yes your majesty!” he heard them say. “Oh, and this is the last part of the plan,” Mathew uttered as he glance back at them, “Don’t die,” he added as he tightened the grip of his sword. They all started to fight in unison trying to wreck its defense while Allen run towards a perfect location to aim his arrows. Mathew’s swords started to flame again as he swung them and amputated some of its legs making the demon lose his balance. “Now!” Casis shouted at Allen. Allen immediately runs towards the demon and slide underneath it, he immediately aimed and shoot the arrows to the gem and successfully break it. The demon growled in defeat as it tried to kill Allen beneath but failed when Casis immediately covered Allen by his barrier. Allen rolled himself to get out below it and gestured to Mathew that he succeeded. Mathew slashes the monster in half making it burn into ashes. “Finally!” Nathan uttered as he sits on the floor, “Finally it’s over,” he whispered. Lucas who was breathing heavily smiled at Mathew, “You’ve worked hard your majesty,” he uttered. Mathew fell on the floor as he spits blood. “Your majesty!” Casis called worriedly. “…I’m fine,” Mathew replied and gazes at Lucas. “The barrier surrounding this greenhouse, did it already break?” Mathew asks. “Not yet, your majesty, the guests couldn’t get through it,” Lucas replied. “It’s blocking Celine from entering this place and it’s also blocking us from going out,” Mathew commented, “Let’s get out of here,” he added. “Yes your majesty,” Lucas answered and help Casis in supporting Mathew to stand and to walk. They exited at the back of the greenhouse. “Your majesty,” Allen uttered. Mathew glance at him and saw that he’s pointing at something from above them. They lifted their heads to look, there was a fight outside the barrier and suddenly they saw someone landed on the dirty ground that there were particles from the soil flew from the great impact. Mathew focuses his vision and saw Celine laying on the ground trying to stand up again. “What’s happening here?” Nathan uttered while never breaking his stare.
