Chapter 4: Revelations

Days turned into weeks, and Alexander found himself becoming more and more infatuated with David. He had never felt this way about anyone before, and he knew that he had to tell him the truth about himself. He had to let David know that he was a vampire, and that there were dangers that came with being with someone like him.

But every time he tried to bring up the subject, he found himself chickening out. He couldn't bear the thought of David running away from him, of losing the only person who had ever made him feel truly alive.

One night, as they were sitting in David's apartment, Alexander felt a sudden surge of hunger. He knew that he had to feed, but he didn't want to leave David alone. He hesitated for a moment, weighing his options, before finally deciding to take the risk.

"David," he said, his voice low and urgent. "I have to tell you something."

David looked at him, his eyes full of curiosity and concern. "What is it?"

Alexander took a deep breath. "I'm not like other men," he said slowly. "I'm a vampire."

David's eyes widened in shock, and for a moment, Alexander thought that he had made a mistake. But then, to his surprise, David smiled.

"I know," he said softly.

Alexander stared at him in disbelief. "What?"

David reached out and took his hand. "I've known for a while now," he said. "I could sense something different about you from the moment we met."

Alexander was stunned. He had never expected David to know the truth about him, and yet, here he was, sitting in front of him, completely accepting of who he was.

"How...how did you know?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

David shrugged. "I don't know," he said. "It's just a feeling I had. And besides, I've always been fascinated by vampires. I've read everything there is to know about them."

Alexander couldn't believe his luck. He had found someone who not only accepted him for who he was, but who was also intrigued by his true nature.

As they sat there, talking late into the night, Alexander felt a sense of relief wash over him. He had finally revealed the truth to David, and to his surprise, it had only brought them closer together.

But he knew that there were still dangers ahead, still challenges to overcome. Being with a human was never easy for a vampire, and he knew that he would have to be careful if he wanted to keep David safe.

But for now, all he wanted to do was bask in the warmth of David's love, to feel the beating of his heart and the warmth of his skin, and to know that he was finally, truly alive.
