Chapter 5: Night Stalker

453 Words
Alexander and David spent the next few days exploring their newfound connection, learning everything they could about each other. They spent their nights together, wandering through the city streets, talking and laughing and occasionally stealing kisses from each other. But as the days turned into weeks, Alexander began to feel a sense of unease. He couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched, that there was someone out there who knew about their relationship and was waiting to strike. He tried to push the feeling aside, but it lingered in the back of his mind, growing stronger with each passing day. And then, one night, his worst fears were realized. As they were walking through a deserted alleyway, they were suddenly ambushed by a group of vampires. They were vicious and bloodthirsty, with eyes that glowed red in the darkness. David clung to Alexander, fear etched on his face, as Alexander fought back with all his strength. He knew that he had to protect David, no matter what the cost. The battle was brutal and intense, but in the end, Alexander emerged victorious. He stood panting and covered in blood, his eyes blazing with a fierce determination. David looked at him in awe, his heart pounding with both fear and admiration. "What...what just happened?" he asked, his voice shaking. Alexander took a deep breath, trying to calm his racing heart. "They were after us," he said slowly. "They wanted to kill us both." David's eyes widened in shock. "Why?" he asked. Alexander hesitated, unsure of how to answer. "Because I'm a vampire," he said finally. "And they don't like it when we associate with humans." David looked at him, his eyes full of confusion and fear. "What does this mean?" he asked. "Are we in danger?" Alexander took his hand, pulling him close. "Yes," he said, his voice low and urgent. "We're in grave danger. But I promise you, I won't let anything happen to you. I'll protect you, no matter what." David looked at him, his eyes shining with tears. "I...I trust you," he said softly. Alexander felt a surge of emotion, a fierce protectiveness that he had never felt before. He knew that he would do anything to keep David safe, even if it meant risking his own life. As they walked back to David's apartment, Alexander felt a sense of dread wash over him. He knew that the battle was far from over, that there were still dangers lurking in the shadows. But he also knew that he had something worth fighting for, something that was worth risking everything for. And as he looked at David, he knew that he would do whatever it took to keep him safe.
