1. Through Her Eyes

**Nina’s POV** My body shivered from the damp cold air. The aching of my body caused by the hard floor was also damp, as I wrapped my arms around myself to create friction against my skin for warmth. I was curled up in a ball with my back pressed firmly up against the wall, while laying on my right side. My eyes shut tight as the cold air continued to t*****e my body. A small groan escaped my lips as I struggled to fall asleep in these conditions. Slowly I opened my eyes to only be met by darkness. Ignoring the need to sleep so as to not feel the torturous cold air, I lift my now stiff body from the hard floor. I scanned the darkness as my teeth began to chatter uncontrollably. “Where am I?” I asked as I blinked several times in hope to see something other than the darkness. “We are still in the same place, princess.” A male voice replied in the darkness. “Who’s there?” I asked as I fully sat up and backed myself into the wall. A sigh, followed by a teeth chattering noise came from the dark before the voice spoke again. “You haven’t been in the dungeons for as long as I have, and yet you’ve already forgotten who I am.” He replied, it was more of a statement than a question. “It’s me, Harold.” the voice quickly added, sounding like I would remember who he is. “Harold?” I questioned, very confused with who he was. “Nora,” Harold’s voice echoed as I heard a shuffle somewhere in the dark. “We are in a dungeon, we are the prisoners of that damned demon, Crowley.” He tried to refresh my memories. “Nora?” I said, and that’s when it all clicked. I’m not Nora, she is my twin sister. We have been looking for her for the past few weeks. I scan my surroundings as I feel the wall behind. Using the wall as my guide I stand up and follow it using my hands. It didn’t take long before I felt metal poles in front of me. Bars. I was in a cell. No… Nora was in a cell and somehow, I was here in the place she was kept. And Crowley? we had gotten rid of him, so who else could have kept them locked up in a cell? “Are you alright Nora?” Harold asked with concern in his voice. “I… I think…” Before I could finish my words, the sound of footsteps had me go quiet. A small light flickered from the left as I realised that someone was coming towards us. The light was lighting up the way towards where I was, to where Nora was, allowing me to see the hallway. I saw many cells as the figure that held the light walked closer. As the light was an inch from where I stood holding onto the cell bars, a shiver of fear ran down my spine as I recognised the face. “Crowley,” I breathed out in a whisper. “Harold,” he greeted the man that was imprisoned with my sister. Crowley sneered and gave a deadly look as he turned to Harold's cell that was across from me. I saw a man to whom I assumed the voice belonged to. He looked like a caveman with the ragged torn clothes he was now wearing and the untamed beard and hair that hung from his face. Harold glared at the demon as he attempted to use his strength to stand up using the support of what looked to be chains. He was chained to the wall. “What do you want, demon?!” Harold sneered back. “It seems that your daughters are very well trained despite you not being there to raise them.” Crowley began which caused Harold to chuckle. “I did teach them from a young age. I had no doubt that they would continue to keep those teachings.” he replied as he continued to chuckle. However, his chuckle stopped and he stared at Crowley who began to mimic his chuckle. “I didn’t say it was a bad thing.” Crowley replied. “Your eldest one may yet be useful to me. She has left the protection of her mate and returned home.. To find what your family has been tasked with protecting.” Harold tried to charge for him but the chains held him back. “If you touch a hair on my daughters..” his threat got cut short. “Oh don’t worry, I won't.” Crowley snickered. “However, someone else might..” he said as he turned ready to walk away from Harold. “You bastard!” Harold yelled all the while cursing every word under the sun to the demon. Crowley’s laugh sounded satisfied that he had made Harold angry. He gave the man another look before he took a step towards the way he had come. Before he could even leave, I spoke. Immediately his laughing had stopped. “How are you still alive?” I asked as I watched him stop in his tracks and turn to me. “Well, no thanks to your sister for sensing me and his daughter's failed attempt to send me to where my master is imprisoned, I can say I barely made it.” He grumbled as he scanned me. He knitted his brows before he lifted his candle light to meet my face, to meet Nora's face. Crowley's questioning face quickly turned into a sinister smile which caused fear to take over the overwhelming cold air. “Well, hello Nina. I don’t know how you're able to see through your sister's eyes. Maybe it’s a part of that gift of yours, or it could be a twin thing.” Crowley grabbed my wrist causing an uncomfortable feeling to spread throughout my body. “why don’t you come and save your sister, before it’s too late.” His whisper caused me to jerk back as a burning sensation on my wrist caused me to scream from the discomfort. His eerie smile along with the sinister aura he was giving off was frightening and his chuckle only made this feeling worse. “I will find my sister.” I managed to say which caused him to smile with satisfaction. “I’m sure you will Nina,” the mention of my name sent another shiver down my spine. “I’ll be waiting…” He added in a taunting tone. Slowly his image began to fade and the light became dim. His voice echoed in the distance of the dark and the unsettling feeling that spread throughout my body was still there as my wrist was now on fire. A blood curdling screaming left my mouth as I held my wrist to my chest with the same burning sensation still there. “Nina!” A familiar voice yelled in the darkness. Looking around frantically as I screamed at the pain, I couldn’t see anyone. “Nina! Wake up!” The voice yelled again as I felt arms shake me causing me to open my eyes. I blinked uncontrollably as I sat up straight. Looking at my surroundings, I realised that I was dreaming. It was all a dream. I was in my room, on my bed. My panting and the sweat that was coming off my body confirmed that I had just had a dream. “What?” I began as I gasped for air. “You were screaming, I think you had a nightmare.” I looked at my brother, Nevins' who was sitting on my bed staring at me with concern. “was it just a nightmare? Or did you see something?” He asked. “I.. I don’t know.” I replied honestly. Nevins looked me up and down to make sure I was alright. I could sense that he didn't believe me but he just chose to leave it alone. “Mateo was trying to call you. He called me when you did not answer. He said that he will pick you up from our house in Willowsfield, if you make a portal to get there.” Nevins said, passing on the message from my mate. Still trying to catch my breath, I nodded at his words before he stood and left. Throwing my legs over the edge of the bed to stand up, I felt that same familiar burning sensation start on my right wrist. Holding it up I saw some sort of black ink slowly forming on my wrist. I fell to the ground as I held in the scream that was about to escape me from the pain that the heat was causing. I watched helplessly as something was being burned into my skin, a symbol of some sort. The bottom part seemed like a dagger. Maybe a cross with a pointy end. Then an upside down crescent moon and a circle within the cresent. I have never seen this before. What did it mean? Staring at the mark, I had a bad feeling that something bad was going to happen. And the dream I had just had, may have been real. I now knew my sister was alive and locked in a cell with someone else.
